HereI suspect the majority of APATers will be staying locally but for those who wish to drive the site
mentions that all visitors to the car park will pay a maximum rate of £5 for the day, from Monday to Friday and a maximum rate of £8 at the weekend.
Not great but not unreasonable.
Hotels:It"s difficult to give entirely accurate pricing given the extensive schedule of events. Players may or may not wish to play in the Main Event or might just visit for some of the side events. As such, the prices quoted are rough estimates and players should make their own enquiries.Budget ChainIbis - London Stratford1A Romford Road

Consider; Travelodge - London City Airport as an alternative. Cheaper but a cab would be required. See my comments below.Medium ChainPremier Inn - London StratfordInternational Square,

Weird...that"s gone down a quite few quid since I last checked.Roll Your OwnWithout getting into too much detail their are numerous B&B type options basically along London Road (which is the main thoroughfare) which might offer cheap and cheerful alternatives to the standard chain hotels.
Of course, it"s impossible to go into any depth here but reasonable searches on TripAdvisor or any of the consolidator sites such as Laterooms, Hotels.co.uk, Trivago or one of my favorities, Booking.com might be worth a few minutes of your time.
Equally, if you are sharing accommodation you might consider chain hotels a little further out afield to save a few quid. Bear in mind though that transport in London after midnight can be hit and miss and cabs might eat into any potential savings.
Please note that I am not personally recommending or endorsing any of these. As always, if in any doubt, do your own research and check review sites such as TripAdvisor or read the reviews on your chosen booking site. This is a preliminary post
I"ll be adding additional links / resources as we get over the holidays. Please feel free to add your own recommendations, links, tips, hints and other pieces of sage advice.
Hope to see you there.
