Matt - 5k Chips? Normally have 10k for these no? Although I have missed a few!

Hi JP

I"m testing a 5k starting stack for this one, as iPoker has many more levels - so a much slower structure than Boss. I still think they"ll be plenty of room to play.

If it"s considered a bit too fast I will up the number of chips for the next online events.

The structure might need tweaking Matt, went very shallow and shove festy from level 14 onwards and especially at the buisness end.I"m sure JP will agree  ;)

I didn"t think that 5k was a great starting stack and at least one of my team mates agreed.  Maybe starting off with 7500 chips is a good compromise and means there"s 50% more chips in play which is going to make a bit difference in the later levels.

Fair point. How about an hour earlier and 7.5k stack? I think 10k will take too long unless we skip levels (much easier to set tourneys if we don"t). Happy to go to 10k though if that"s the consensus.

7pm start 7.5k sounds perfect, structure was fine!

I thought it ran OK... An earlier start will knacker me for the times I have to work of a Sunday. I would maybe try starting with 7.5k chips and start at 8pm for the second one.
We got 100 runners for the first one which was great, are we going to get that many more players that would make a big difference to the end time.
We have this argument every season and it never suits everybody. The finish time affects nine people, maybe a few more each week and only a few people are making the final table 3 maybe 4 times over the season.
I"ll be playing whatever is decided, but an earlier start will mean me being blinded off until I get home...

Just adjust the starting stack for the next one and then go from there....

Even with an hour late reg?

I agree it"s just trial and error for the first few, but do we normally get 90+ runners for main events? Maybe more people were motivated by the team thingy.

Aye, I was super happy with the turnout this time. Thanks again to all who made the effort to play. Will take a look at our previous events and the number of runners they acheived.

For WCOAP I"ll be setting up a Main Event, and 3 or 4 side events of different formats (and before the usual suspects ask - NO there will not be Open Face Chinese :D :P )

Thanks Wayne. The votes are around 3-3 in the straw poll thus far.

I"m a fan of the quicker game myself. This finished at 00.50, so was just shy of 5 hours. How long do peeps want to play for? 7 or 8 hours?... (seems too much to me, but then again I"m not the customer).

A 7.30 start, if it has to start earlier than 8.00 will be ok for me.... But obviously I"m not the decision maker...

Matt - can you put the structure up as I already cant find the lobby from last night to look. I think the game would be fine with 5k chips but take a couple of the earlier levels out and add some levels in the mid-late game. Doesn"t change time but gives more play at the end.
