On Thursday, 22 March, 2007, An Bord Pleanala gave the go-ahead for the redevelopment of Lansdowne Road Stadium into a new 50,000 capacity all-seater stadium. Some of us will shed a tear for the old stadium, which until it's demolishment was the world's oldest international stadium. The first rugby match was held there in 1876 and the first international in 1878.
However I have to admit it's looking good - and no it has no fecking roof - but what the hell the weather in Ireland is always good and dry right.........
