Got hammered last night but got as far as 1988 - it is a very worthwhile exercise and I won"t change the ones already there. Funny thing is they are all good memories no bad ones - funny that - will publish when it is up to date.

We had a meeting with a well know supplier of Radio Frequency/Voice products this week and it was excruciatingly boring. They were fresh out of the cliche school of conversation. I had my own interpretations.

"Our product is 93 per cent complete"
The remaining 7 per cent will take four times as long to finish with a cost of double as the first 93 percent.

"We have a proven business model"
We have two customers and none have complained yet.

"Our management team have a great deal of industry experience"
They have all used it once

"We conservatively estimate"
Take the "educated guess" number and multiplied it by 6.

"Users of our product are projected to make a return of three times their investment"
Over 20 years and only if everything goes absolutely to plan.

I am officially on call 2 weeks in every four, however I am unofficially on call all the time. I get automaic texts when applications/systems fail and am expected to respond. Not a problem it"s part of my job.

3am this morning -- the beep beep beep of a text hits my phone. As this time is when most of our batch jobs run I shook myself awake and didn"t pick up the phone, I just threw on my pants and a shirt. I mentally prepared myself for logging on and taking a look.

I picked up the phone and opened the message.

FFS it was Barclays telling me my Credit Card bill was on it"s way.

Sooooo the wee man has joined the gym at Uni. Also today's shop for his food for the week was a little different, gone are the chips and re-constituted chicken Kievs, gone are the ready meals.

They are replaced with healthy salad stuff & vegetables, skinless chicken breasts, rice & pasta. He says he is going to make a pasta lunch to take to Uni everyday he is attending.

It is a turnaround from the couch potato of recent times, The Uni are providing a personal trainer as part of the cost and he starts his regime on Tuesday. Special workouts are being devised for his leg (the one he broke a couple of years ago) and he seems enthusiastic.

Time will tell and I will post a wee bit about his progress on here.

Look out for a trimmer, slimmer bulked up wee man.........

Pork Loin Chops - seared on the griddle and then placed in a mixture of stock and Herbes de Provence and left to simmer for up to 3 hours.

Potato wedges in olive oil and rosemary

Carrots & Broccoli
