A year ago when the planning started, I was excited.

6 Months ago when the multitudes were joining, I was excited

1 Month ago when all was in place for the epic trip, I was excited

1 week to go and I am wetting myself.

I have been to Vegas a few times but this time it promises to be a trip to end all trips.

Dare I say it... Priceless

The aquarium was fun last night, I could not miss, I won every race when behind and didn't lose one when ahead. It was one of those nights. Ended up chopping it HU with Julie (she who is excited much).  Carl got pulled over by the boys in blue on the way home, I think they were disappointed when they found he had no drink taken LOL.

Today is back to back to back (see what I did there :) ) rugby all afternoon, just need to nip out to replenish the fridge and get something to eat. Love these lazy Saturdays (Apart from the support call received at 4am this morning and two hours spent fixing the fecking thing)

I hope JP enjoys his weekend in Limerick but not too much as I, of course, want Munster to defeat his beloved Saints.

See this painting...

It"s like something out of a comic book right? Well so is the price...

This painting was sold at Christies in New York for $43 million (£27 million)

Has the world gone mad

So Leinster lucked a draw against Montpellier
Ulster held on for a big win against Clermont
Now will Munster do the job on Saints.......

The words were by John Denver, the song made famous by Peter, Paul & Mary but the first line starts.

"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go"

Well, all my bags are now packed. Everything checked and double checked. Will check in on-line on Wednesday afternoon after picking up the Wee Man. Thursday morning, pick my sister up at 8.30am, my niece at 9.20 hit the airport at 10.00 drop all the bags and passengers at the terminal, park the car, get the shuttle bus and then............

HIT THE BAR

Munster produced probably more drama than any other side in this wonderful competition, and their long road to victory in front of a near-full house at Thomond Park last night was astonishing.

In semi-opposed training it would not be easy to go through 41 phases of rugby. To do so in the white heat of a Heineken Cup game, knowing that any slip up will bring the final whistle, and defeat, is probably unique. And if it isn"t then I can"t remember anything in the same class.

The scene was as follows: Munster were trailing Saints by 21-20 when referee Nigel Owens signalled the last play. Some four minutes later Munster had managed to eke out enough space for Ronan O"Gara to nail the drop goal from fully 40 metres. He controlled much of the phase-building in that sequence. So he waited, and then delivered.

To be fair, Saints allowed Munster leverage in a game that should have been stitched up. The away team had better shape and a much better scrum, which was a valuable source of penalties for them.

Epic game, Epic result (Sorry JP)

We are on the downward stretch and everything is in place. Impatience is setting in now an all I want to do is get on that plane.

Work is busy with all the handover chores etc etc but that is filling the day. Did a bit of training today and I now know why I did not follow my siblings into the teaching profession, my patience was severely tested.

Roll on Thursday..
