Last night was a mixture of poor calls for most of their stack, poor calls with all of their stack and poor calls with any part of their stack. Yep, it was the good old aquarium again. One of these nights I will have a hand and then they will be sorry.  ::)

Tonight I shall be mostly playing an overexcited, rabid, berserk, frenzied, demented, psychotic, deranged, maniacal, insane, unbalanced style of poker  ;D

then it"s off to New Brighton tonight.. Is that a step up or a step down from the aquarium. Or indeed a step too far.....

Plan B nearly worked
JJ << KQ
AJ << KQ
J9 << A3 that hurt the most on a flop of J93 - turn the obligatory 3

In 1975 when I attained the ripe old age of 21, my then girlfriend presented me with a signet ring. It had my initials engraved on it and everything. Pauline Wade was her name and a lovely woman she was, but, me being me, the relationship fizzled out. Anyway I wore that ring for years, but for one reason or another I stopped. I found this ring a couple of weeks ago as I was stripping my bedroom. Of course, my hands (along with the rest of me) have gained a bit of plumpness since I had last worn it. So it would not fit.

Well today I took it down to the jewellers and enquired about enlarging it. No problem they said at a cost of £22. No brainer I said go ahead. Well after measuring the nice lady looked at the hallmarks inside the ring and weighed the item. We were chatting at this stage and I was relating the story of its origin.

She then said that my former girlfriend must have been very fond of me, I inquired as to why and she said that for insurance purposes the ring is worth in excess of £500. I knew I should have worked harder at that relationship...

 Ger,

Not to put a dampener on that but Gold has increased in value by a factor of 10 since 1975 From roughly $150 an ounce to c.$1400 now. It did reach over $1750 at one point last year

That"s not so say that £50 wasn"t a lot of money back in 1975....it was.! :)

New Brighton G was a bit of a rollercoaster last night. The tourney became a bit of a shove or fold game late on and I shoved when I should have folded  ;D

Finished up a wee bit on 3 card poker and doubled my buy in on the 50p 50p cash table. Good night enjoyed it a lot.

There are ways of throwing your career into the toilet. But abusing a referee in Rugby can only have one outcome. Silly, now no Lions tour for Mr Hartley. BBC

However the same gentleman has some previous in matters that get you banned........

Got to HU in the aquarium last night and chopped it with Howard. The craic was good, the beer flowed and the cards slapped me in the face, happy days  ;D

Good luck to everyone going to the capital this weekend, either for the ISPT or the APAT. Gutted is the word that comes to mind. Coventry is next for me and I can"t even play because I only land back from Portugal on the Saturday. Some will say that"s a good thing  ;D

I will however be at the bar from approximately 7.30pm  ;D ;D ;D
