There is a big Folk Festival on at the aquarium tonight. So at least the melancholy strains of the songs will suit the mood when I get battered again by heroes. ;D ;D ;D ;D

The aquarium was its usual "swingy" self last night exit AK v 10 10 - not upset with that it always gets to a pinch point when its shove and hope. Bonus was I got very merry and had a good night.

The 180 turbos are beginning to get on my wick so I am giving them a rest tonight. I will now be relaxing with a few cold ones.

Jamie Roberts, George North, Manu Tuilagi, Brian O"Driscoll and Tommy Bowe are all in varying states of injury diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Two of the four original wings and three of the four centres unavailable, and Alex Cuthbert and Sean Maitland having both played three full games. You might think that reinforcements are required.

So who do you call in for the game against the Brumbies on Tuesday?

The 2008 world player of the year of course. He is playing his rugby in Japan so he's not too far away. He is due to fly in on Monday, and play on Tuesday, and leave on Wednesday, in order to give the others a chance to recover.

Who is it? Shane Williams of course.

So the Lion's are poised for the third test. An honest appraisal of the first test would be that they took their foot off the gas and let Australia back into the game and it was nearly taken away from them. The second test was again fingernail stuff and the series is now level. Cue the third test and for whatever reason, Warren Gatland has picked a team of direct impact players. This is all well and good if you are playing against Eton College Thirds, but we are playing against Australia FFS.

The team that has been picked lack guile and experience to turn a 50/50 ball into a match winning try. It seems that Gatland has thought "If we can't run round them, we will have to run through them". If the Aussies soak up the initial pressure (and in George Smith they have a breakdown player of immense experience) then the Lions will get frustrated and without players who can turn a game in an instant I fear that this game could suit the Wallabies.

I am hoping for, and will be screaming for, a win, but I hope the coach's shoulders are broad, because should they fail all his past glories will be conveniently forgotten and he can forget about holidaying in Ireland anytime soon...

The pack were powerful, the backs did their job sublimely and at the end of the day the result was emphatic.

I disagreed with the selection of the team and that just goes to prove that Mr Gatland has forgotten more than I will know. Take a bow sir, sorry for doubting you.......
