What a ridiculous system. Because a budget isn"t agreed, people are told not to go to work cos they won"t get paid, services stop and the public can go hang, instead of carrying on and making up payments afterwards if necessary. The behaviour of some Republicans has been reprehensible though.

The republicans were messing around with things prior to shut down, to ensure the shut down would occur.  Don"t think they expected the negative coverage though and were hoping to pass it off as a democrats failure while Obama"s in office.

Thank You Steve R for this on Facebook.

As a die hard Led Zeppelin fan as a yooth I enjoyed this. After so many really bad covers this is awesome.

So, the ex Man U manager Mr Ferguson has a biography out. Now the man cannot be short of a few bob so this exercise must only be for self-gratification and revenge. My main question here is, Why?

He had a good run, was massively successful but now seems inclined to put out there a lot of score settling diatribes. Now as I haven't read it I might be basing my opinion on the snippets that have been blasted in the press. In the main it might be a very good story of his life. My point still stands though, he could have left out contentious, self-effacing, gratuitous point scoring.

Furthermore the timing is also unfortunate, still, it might just be me
