Well I managed to survive the weekend. It's always a pleasure to play at DTD and making a hero call in the cash for a £400 pot last night was a bonus.  

Friday
Karaoke was a revelation with having to spend 30 minutes persuading the wee man to get up and sing. Then having to spend the next three hours trying to get him off the microphone.

Saturday.
Played a bit of cash before the tourney, when Glenn thought his 55 was the nutz and he was all-in first hand after sitting down. The game itself was fun while it lasted with aggression not being the best option I could have employed. Well done to all who final tabled.

Sunday
The Quiz in the hotel bar was good craic and a big well done must go to Claire & Andrew. Especially their acting skills (mind you their accents need a bit of work) Had good fun at the bar next door outside with Tighty's question time. We played a £2 game in the hotel bar later and I had a last longer bet with gatso for £20 LOL. We played the £15 game in DTD and that was erm different.

Good craic, Great people, priceless........

Of course that £15 game was "different" ffs!!

We landed at DTD at 7.40 only to find that they"d capped the tournament at 63, so 6 of us all joined the reserve list. They then opened up a new table after it had started because dealers were available, and our table consisted of:

Me
Duke
Wee Man
Laxie
Gatso

and one other blonde who isn"t on here afaik. The first 2 levels were completely insane, with the dealer in hysterics and the other 3 players just looking as if they wanted to run away. Fast. Every other hand, all the cardroom would hear was one word.

"RAISE"

In an Irish accent from the gentleman in glasses and full beard in seat 7. You guys do the math. Gatso and I punctuated it with various one liners that started with "And in other news..." and generally ended with famous news stories that were at least 50 years old. On one memorable occasion, Ger announced raise and I muttered "and in other news, the Titanic sank last week", to which the dealer nearly dropped the cards from laughing!

It was the best table I have ever played on...and just to make it better, I limped on Duke"s BB and somehow it managed to be a hand he DIDN"T raise!

Oh, and Ger, have you ever had piles??

That was the BEST table EVER!!!  I"ve not laughed so much in a long time...and I already laugh a lot as it is.  But man oh man...what a great time!
