Barney destroys Wade

Looking like a Taylor - Barney final tomorrow (after Taylor disposes of Whitlock in the next match)

Will be a classic cos Barney is on fire

(still think the God that is Taylor will win tho)

Alberto Contador is set to win his third Tour de France after increasing his lead over Andy Schleck to 39 seconds going into the final stage. Now cast your mind back to a previous stage when Schleck was leading by 31 seconds when his chain came off. Contador took full advantage to gain 39 seconds on his rival. People were saying it was bad form to take advantage "not done" was the cry. Not illegal, just "not done".

If he had observed etiquette they would now be equal in time.

But winners don"t observe etiquette do they, they ride to win.

Lots of divided opinions on this.......

It"s just like in Formula 1 when one of the drivers has a damaged car  - all the others should wait by the pits while he gets it fixed

So, Phil Taylor and Barney will contest the final of the World Matchplay tonight following resounding semi-final defeats of Simon Whitlock and James Wade.

Taylor hammered Whitlock 17-4 and barney destroyed Wade 17-8.

It will go one of two ways.

1. Barney comes out firing on all cylinders and it will be a close one.
2. Taylor takes a lead in the early legs, Barney drops his head and gets battered.

I really hope it"s 1.

Reading up on the customs and people of Estonia some good points to note.

Soft voices are the norm. If you have a booming voice, you may wish to moderate it when conducting business with Estonians. -- Good job Scouse has declined

They are slow to pay compliments and may become suspicious of compliments offered too readily and without sufficient reason. -- So a sarcastic NH might not go down too well

Passive silence is very much part of the communication style.  -- that excludes 99.9999% of APATers

Estonians value their good reputations. Therefore, be careful not to criticize or embarrass anyone publicly. --Oooops

Once the relationship warms up the communication style becomes a lot less stiff. -- Story of my life

Try and wait for a woman to extend her hand.  -- Ok then

So it seems that Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has slammed the "hypocrisy" of those who have criticised Fernando Alonso"s victory in Sunday"s German Grand Prix.

The exact Montezemolo quote was "Enough of the hypocrisy. This has always happened."  (Eddie Jordan in Belgium 1998, when Ralf Schumacher was ordered not to race Damon Hill for the lead)

Well yes it did, but that was when it wasn"t against regulations. To be honest teams will use any tactic in the "teams" intertest. It could have been less transparent, a little "staged" wobble etc etc. Having a rule banning team orders doesn"t mean they don"t happen, it simply means teams have to find duplicitous ways of employing them.

The two Ferrari"s had it sown up and the fans would not have seen any fight at the top, although I suppose the other teams would have liked them to knock each other off.

Therefore scrap the rule or enforce it vigourously.

Don"t know if any of you get a "Betterware" catalogue through the door and then some git calls for your order a few days later. Cue knck on my door.

"Betterware" says he
"better in Vegas" says I

No sense of humour not even a acknowledgement of my wit.

"Have you got your order" says he
"No" says I
"Have you got the catalogue" says he
"No" says I
"Are you sure, they cost money to produce you know" says he
"Yes I am sure I have no idea where it is" says I
"I get charged for them" says he
"Oh sorry, I will tell you what to do then" says I
"What" says he with a sly smile
"Stop posting the fecking thing through my fecking door, and that"s free advice"

Sometimes I just run good.......
