Now there has been some debate about the APAT medals. I have a view, unsurprisingly. I love playing the APAT on line games, I absolutely adore the live events. If I happen to luckbox a medal, that is a very welcome bonus.
When that medal arrives, I care not, I have won it, I know I have won it and that is awesome. Given the standard of the people in this organisation, to be able to finish in a place that awards a medal is to me a fantastic achievement.
All my good fortune has been on line, I have yet to acquire a live medal. This might of course change this week.
In later on line games, if I am lucky enough to get into a place that awards a medal I will be over the moon, ecstatic even. If then in the scheme of things that medal is a wee while in getting to me so be it. The important thing is that I have played against very good players and have managed through good fortune to be in the top 3.
Medals are a good and tangible way of looking back with fondness to the games that were played. Long may there be medal awards and if they take a while to arrive be patient. You know you have won a medal and the rest of the community does as well and that is the important thing.
This picture should not be viewed as a brag image (people have more than this) It is to me a proud collection from a unparalleled organisation
