Coastguards in Dover and France say a large crocodile sighted in the English Channel was actually a piece of wood.
Officials have said that the wood probably did look like a crocodile from a distance. BBC

Now there has been some debate about the APAT medals. I have a view, unsurprisingly. I love playing the APAT on line games, I absolutely adore the live events. If I happen to luckbox a medal, that is a very welcome bonus.

When that medal arrives, I care not, I have won it, I know I have won it and that is awesome. Given the standard of the people in this organisation, to be able to finish in a place that awards a medal is to me a fantastic achievement.

All my good fortune has been on line, I have yet to acquire a live medal. This might of course change this week.  ::)

In later on line games, if I am lucky enough to get into a place that awards a medal I will be over the moon, ecstatic even. If then in the scheme of things that medal is a wee while in getting to me so be it. The important thing is that I have played against very good players and have managed through good fortune to be in the top 3.

Medals are a good and tangible way of looking back with fondness to the games that were played. Long may there be medal awards and if they take a while to arrive be patient. You know you have won a medal and the rest of the community does as well and that is the important thing.

This picture should not be viewed as a brag image (people have more than this) It is to me a proud collection from a unparalleled organisation

OK now the Edinburgh Fringe is supposed to be the hot bed of new & current talent, the whacky, the sublime and the cutting edge of comedy as well. So here is the one liner that won the "Funniest Joke of The Festival" as spoken by Tim Vine (Jezza Vine"s brother)

"I"ve just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I"ll tell you what, never again."

Come on please I am sure even some of you lot could come up with better ones than that Jeez..............

10:15 tonight knock on the door (was playing a STT on Full tilt - sorry betfair but was tilted  ;D )

Runs to door, yanks it open "WHAT?" says I

"I am a representative for......"

That"s as far as the spotty little eejit got as I proceeded to expand on his parental situation and current appearance, swiftly followed by a request that he did something morally wrong and physically impossible.

I love my life sometimes  8)
