Had a wonderful time round at Dan & Joanna"s yesterday and then back to my own wee house with the children for a few celebratory drinks, Carl came round with some wonderful Spanish brandy which was consumed.

A lazy day today I think in recovery mode.......

Lazy alcohol free day yesterday, and I felt twice as bad this morning   However, today I have been lazy again watched a couple of DVD"s and the stew is on. The fridge is calling, cover me I am going in

When I started to go to Vegas a few years ago I took out the BMI credit card because of the airmiles and I was travelling on Star Alliance partners most of the time. I built up enough miles to get to Vegas and went to book earlier in the year, could I get a flight to suit. If I found one going I couldn't find one coming back. Pain the proverbial it was. It was Ok if I was going out in Feb and back in July FFS......

So I used my airmiles to get to Tallinn, Aberdeen & Vienna for the APAT gigs, so they didn't go to waste and I stopped using the BMI credit card. Just before Christmas I received some mail from the BMI Diamond Club. Aww that was nice of them.

Erm No, Happy Christmas Mr Smyth and by the way your account has been downgraded because you have not been using your card. In order to elevate your account blah blah blah.

Heard it all now, on the BBC website they had an article about what to expect in 2011. Transport, Fashion, Tourism, Shopping that kind of thing. Then they rolled out a Ms Fran Walton who is a "Futurologist"

So, the Abbey Road zebra crossing in north London (made famous after appearing on a Beatles album cover) has been given Grade II listed status. It is being recognised for its "cultural and historical importance" following advice from English Heritage.

Now if I remember correctly, the crossing was moved several metres for traffic management reasons more than 30 years ago, and no original features remain.

So, in keeping with the laws surrounding Grade II are they going to find the original paint and lights and re-create it, will anyone be able to use it, after all it will be protected by law.

Or had the world gone stark raving mad...

Hasn't modern science really moved on, I mean watching the footballers of the Premier League hit the floor writhing in abject agony, with what, quite obviously, must be a broken leg,  and then 3 seconds later leaping around the pitch with no sign of injury.

It appears that rolling the injured area in plaster cast bandaged stuff at hospitals is rubbish. They should just provide the A&E"s with endless supplies of grass, get the injured people to roll around in that for a while instead and dramatically reduce those waiting lists.

Amazing how the cure for a broken leg these days seems to be a yellow card to the opposition?!
