This time next week

Sat with a mountain of chips
Collaring a scantily clad waitress for another beer muchas gracias
Wondering if its good etiquette to have a siesta at the table

Good times  8)
Winner of 1 gold, 2 silver & 1 bronze medals.
Proud member of team England '11 & '12 (Home Internationals) & team APAT  '11

Now pretty much poker retired, but available to help feed / sub the APAT server hamsters now & again.

Doing an Irish Stew tonight and it"s setting off the new smoke alarm in the hall. The book says press the centre button once to place the device in low sensitivity mode.

I pressed it once - still going off

I wait and press it once again - still going off (rinse and repeat a few times)

I "pressed it" one last time and it stopped, I think the last "press" may have broken it.  ::)

You Know that fella that is always on the TV (from Moneysupermarket I think) he is always banging on about doing the research around your utilities (except for the monopoly that is the water provider the bar stewards). Well I am a lazy git and don't really do that sort of thing can't be ar$sed. I know I should cos it will save me money.

Well enter my very good friend and neighbour Mr Carl Lybert aka cookmysock aka Shogun. He was exhaustively trawling sites and going back over his gas and electricity bills, comparing providers, entering results into spreadsheets etc. Anyway he was on MSN and asked what I was paying and what tariff I was on. FFS I can't remember who fecking provides my gas and electricity. Anyway all my stuff is on line (I am not that lazy) so I dug it out.

I gave him my current tariff my average KwHr etc and he went away and did research for me as well.

Last night I switched providers for a saving of £360 per year. Top man that fella.

The wee man has been in most nights for the last couple of weeks. He went out yesterday and has gone out tonight. I think I might have the reason - his student loan landed in the bank yesterday  ;D
