So Ireland scrape another game. Whilst agreeing that a win is a win Ireland should have won all three starting games easily. Instead we lose to France and scrape past Italy & Scotland. Excitement is all well and good but silly indiscipline has cost Ireland and must be improved.

side note. Paining as it is the grand slam is England"s to lose.

So if you went to a cash machine and it started to give you more money than you asked for (BBC) what would your response be.

Ring the bank to tell them
Use the card again as much as possible
Tell your mates, after all the banks are all robbers anyway
They have been charging me for years now it"s payback

Interesting moral (if not legal) dilema.....

The first event of Season 5 has been announced (with the rest to follow forthwith). I adore APAT events and I especially loved the Coventry leg last year. However the date of this one (26th/27th March) causes me a problem. There are two people who support our Supply Chain applications me and one other (Keith). The rule is we cannot take holidays at the same time etc etc. One of us is always on 24hr call in an alternate week rota. Being on call demands being available to respond to support calls.

Keith has been extremely accommodating over the years, swapping on calls etc to let me attend APAT events. However Keith is on holiday over that weekend and I am on call. I know that I can support remotely if required and indeed I do from home. However if I was away on that weekend and for some reason could not respond (poor connection, no phone coverage to receive the call etc) the company would not be best pleased.

I love my job and it enables me to indulge in these weekends when possible. Upshot is I cannot make this weekend and I am gutted.

It doesn't matter when this was announced as Keith is on holiday and I would have been in the same boat if I knew months ago.

I await the rest of the schedule and hope to make every single one of the other events in S5.

Been neglecting the "Silence of the Da" story, apologies, a mixture of being busy traversing the country with work and an unexpected bout of tiredness. I have the story in my head as usual must put fingers to keys SOON.

Yesterday was national book day I understand. There was a request that people grab the nearest book to them, not their favourite one, and turn to page 56. Then go to line 5 and post the sentence that starts on that line or the previous one. I did and I  got.

He entered the shaft and felt as if he had been swallowed by an alien monster from the depths. (Clive Cussler .. Atlantis Found)

They reckoned that they could get a short story if they strung all the replies together. I have serious doubts about that....... But give it a whirl while we wait for S5....

Hmm, not sure this is going to work!

Unfortunately i"m at work so grabbing the nearest book and doing as you say results in .....

The XmNbackground and XmNborderColour resources can be set using either a colour name string or a hexadecimal colour specification.

I fear this short story may not be the most exciting. At least your line had the words shaft and swallowed in.

At work too, so not my usual choice of books! As an avid reader I can"t wait to see what appears here. Might give me inspiration for something to read  :)

ok here goes:

"Sulphate-resisting cements are worth specifying and using for masonry work at high-level on roofs and also for masonry below ground".

How boring. From a book called "Diagnosing Damp"  :(

The fact that today is International Womens Day....makes this following this trend through to its natural conclusion a potential sexual harassment case.
