The main APAT.com website crashed at 8.30pm.  We"re currently investigating the cause but anticipate having to carry out essential maintenance at midnight.  That will require us to take the forum offline at that point also.

Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.

Regards,

Des.

Feck my life I will have to go to bed early this night  ;D

I"ll be asking Marie to forward proof of this.... ;)

Marie did her usual world record stair dash - change - stair dash - slam door this evening - might have something to do with the fact that she owes me money  ;D

Vegas is getting discussed more and more in conversations these days both virtual and actual. It is going to be an epic trip and I am planning Ger's 21st for the Friday. It won't be a big do just a few beers in good company and of course all travellers are welcome. I will be in consultation with the APAT travel guru about the venue (no pressure Paulie)

Talk it over in Glasgae iffen you want....although your knowledge of Gentlemen"s establishments will be greater than mine....but Rhino FTW.

Few beers in rollicking good company.....duelling pianos every time.....Harrahs or NYNY

So there's a bit of a rush to get onto the newest thing on the block Google+. Well I am on it and don't know whether I need another social networking site to be fair.

An interesting point about this site is that Mark Zuckerberg, him being the man so happy to gather and share so much of everyone else"s data on Facebook, has closed his account. He was the most popular user as well.

However I have no idea how to invite "friends" onto it. I think you have to form a google link with them ie - email them from my google mail account (which I hardly use for email). It does suggest a few people already on google+ including a certain kinfishy person.  ::) However unless I have emailed any of my friends I can"t add them.....

So, I will not be spending much time on this me thinks.  8)

When you add them to a "circle" an "Invite" option appears at the bottom left of the screen.

If you"ve already put them in a "circle" you can double-click them and it"ll offer an invite. Only works if they have an email address.

Case in point, when a national company selling Consevatory blinds etc rang and I answered the home phone (don"t usually) the first words out of the sales persons mouth was.

"I have been ringing you a few times....."

Well my renowned patience and good manners came to the fore.  ;D

He hung up before I did.........
