The expectation is palpable, the clock is ticking, plans are advanced and the waiting is becoming intolerable. I started some personal planning for Vegas 2011 as far back as October 2010 because the Wee Man comes of age 15/11/2011 and I thought why not Vegas for his birthday present. So the seed was sown.

I posted on Chezger in November and of course extended an invite to anyone who happened to be at a loose end. We had a few confirms and then at around the same time APAT season 5 was announced with an official APAT Vegas game. This started a wee debate on the forum (Now currently over 1,000 replies and over 25,000 views) around the date. Then the date was fixed.

What started as a wee trip has now reached epic proportions with over 60 people travelling. We have a Wedding to celebrate, a 2 day APAT game and a JAPAT on the Monday, a Stag do to organise and a 21st. Life doesn't get much better.

A terrific bunch of people going from all over the place. Although I do believe the Manchester flight on the 17th will be stellar....

People have really pulled together on this one, Curly for the discounted rates, Paulie for his undoubtable travel plans, Tighty for the APAT game, Adam & Julie for the Monday game and of course the small matter of their wedding.

Quality people, Quality Venue, Guaranteed Craic .. Priceless

Bring it on.

...a Stag do to organise and a 21st.

Erm...yes.

Do we eschew the obvious or go for something a little more esoteric?

I have a few dive bars in mind but Adam"s a teetotaller which could limit options.

Dive bars on the Friday Night I think (fits the hectic schedule) and Adam will go where he is told.  ;)

You and I will discuss venues on Thursday night.

I"ll go anywhere as long as it"s good music, somewhere to sit (if I"m lucky, VP on the bar) and somewhere I can get cheap bottles of water.

Went to the aquarium last night and we were joined by the inimitable Scouse who literally talked his way into winning.  ;D

The place was heaving because of the fireworks display, fancy dress and a funfair in the car park. Did we let that get in the way of our poker, the hell we did. Carl took third and I of course money bubbled, it's getting to be a habit. It was a good night and we retired to mine to deplete the beer fridge.

Vegas is getting oh so much closer, did I mention that this trip is going to be epic not least for this
