I very much doubt that Dublin would be anywhere near as expensive as Amsterdam :o :o :o

By my (limited) research, flights are about the same, ditto for hotels...can"t see much difference...

...unless it"s in the cost of beer? Now THAT would be a major factor.

You haven"t been to Amsterdam have you?

Certain old men prefer to rise at dawn, taking a cold bath and a long walk with an empty stomach and otherwise mortifying the flesh.  They then point with pride to these practices as the cause of their sturdy health and ripe years.

Me? I would rather spend my twilight years in the company of great people, therefore I will go anywhere at anytime JUST PULL THE TRIGGER.

Ohio, September 2012. Few days there, then fly to Vegas for 2 weeks.

Well, that"s my plan anyway. Gives them time to actually move.

I have been lucky enough to have had a good education, I even went to University. So I reckon I could deduce most things (maybe not poker). So when my dishwasher stopped working I started with some reasoning and came to the conclusion it was fecked. So it was back to the sink for the dishes for a while. Then a couple of days later the washing machine packed in FFS that was two and breakdowns come in three's . They were both old so it was no real surprise. I could do without the dishwasher but no way could I do without the washing machine.

Research done I went to Curry's and purchased a washing machine with a mind to replace the dishwasher later on. Carl gave me a hand and we installed the washing machine. Well feck me no worky. We then turned to the manual. Nowt there. Scotty arrived and our three heads were scratched. We sourced power from elsewhere and hurrah the washing machine kicked into life. Put it back in the socket where it should be and no likey.

Then Scotty uttered the immortal words "What's that switch up there for?" Oh Pooh there was nothing wrong with either appliance, Marie in her zeal to clean up had inadvertently switched off the master switch for both appliances.

Oh well at least I have a new washing machine

Priceless.....
