One of the most annoying daily chores that I have at work is beginning to bug me just a little. I spend a lot of time going through my inbox deleting emails that I"ve received because I"m in the .cc list, but which have absolutely no relevance to me.
People use the excuse that the reason they copy me in is because they want to keep me informed of important information. That is a load of Bull, they copy me in so that, hopefully, I can see that they are working and not spending their day on the internet.
Perhaps the worst example of this is when someone has used a company mailing list to send a message that was intended for only one small group, and as a consquence hundreds receive a message that"s of no relevance.
So what do some morons do? They hit reply-to-all with history to point out that they shouldn"t have received it in the first place. Then I receive more irrelevant messages about a message that had no relevance in the first place.
Whatever you do don't start me on the plethora of meanless cliches and pointless jargon that adorn these messages, who do they think they are, David Brent.
e.g. In regard to the intention to "leverage" our investment, I intend to "reach out" to our customers in order to make sure they know "it is what it is". Furthermore after the communication went "viral" it became a "game changer" and caused a "disconnect" with the "added value socialisation" of our core users.
We need to "circle back" and improve the "interface" to make sure we "are on the same page" and "customer-centric".
Thoughts "outside the box" please
Regards etc etc
He fecking could have said.
"I fecked up, now give me ideas to fix it"
Priceless......
