I have taken JonMW's advice and moved the amount to one of my savings accounts where it might earn at least 50p over the long term. Probably best to hold on to it for a while.

Someone was flogging the Lord Of The Rings trilogy at work for £6 -- so I purchased

watched 1 & 2 last night and 3 tonight.

Towards the end of 3 I actually had tears in my eyes -- must be getting a wee bit soft in my old age.....

We had a LOTR-fest last weekend and watched all three...... my kids thought it hilarious when I blubbed at the end of 3.

It"s a fabulous story!

My fickle alliance with poker sites has switched to Ladbrokes and Betfair at the moment and if I am honest I like the sites (not least because I am ticking over profitwise TYVM). I have increased my deposit x5 on each of them in the last 5 days.

Low stakes ($10 max - 18/20 seater games) and it seems to be working for me. People know I don"t analyse my game as much as I should , but I play for fun and distraction. Wins are a bonus.

Long may this run continue......

As you may have read I got sky+HD the other week and am watching the darts at this very moment. Haven"t used its features very much but I did sneak a look at the schedule of recordings that are on the box.

Marie has been busy, Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Katie Price all on season schedules - FFS she is never here LOL

Where is that delete button (Mary Help !!   ;D )

Highlight it in your planner, then press yellow! Yellow their ass!  My wife"s the same! We"ve got hours upon hours of "Sky +"ed" stuff!  I get in trouble if i try to record something whilst she"s recording!  God forbid we get the dreaded "CLASH" warning!
The all-in play works everytime but once.

Once again APAT delivers - what an awesome schedule. I will attempt to make them all entry withstanding. Also the dates do not clash with my holidays or Vegas -- the next 12 months will be simply the best.

Mobile phones are wonderful things. You can have an app for this an app for that, you can surf the net, take pictures etc. You can even make phone calls from them. Would you worry if you didn't have one, would your life be so different.

Well, I left mine at home this morning and half way to work I realised.

I broke into a sweat, how would I cope, how would I make it through the day. I imagined all the calls I was missing (FFS I don't get that many), who was trying to get hold of me in a life and death situation.

FFS get a grip Ger, I told myself, it would be nice to have a day without that annoying buzzing accessory. I felt better, however what if the wee man is trying to get hold of me as the house is flooding and the doors are jammed. What if my sister has important news. What if there is an emergency at work and I am needed.

FFS I'll be in work in 5 minutes don't worry about it. I felt as if I was undressed and driving to work naked FFS it was totally unnecessary and juvenile, grow up Ger and don't be stupid.

Sigh, I turned round and went back for it, it is beginning to control my life.......

Real comedy in the aquarium tonight.

Myself and the wee man got donked out of the main tourney, we play a sit and go. Wee man ends up in a three way. 3rd goes out - 11 players pay out 60 40 10.

So 3rd gets £10

People are clammering for a chop to get another game on the go.

Wee man says "wanna chop"
oppo says "I have more chips so what about 60 -40"
