Good day as usual in DTD, was a bit roller coaster as is my want. However a funny stat..

AK suited didn"t beat KK
AJ suited didn"t beat 99

but when it was my turn to have the pair

JJ didn"t beat A 10

priceless...........

Right - hangover from hell today, think I played some cash on DTD last night, when I got in, cos the bankroll is a tad depleted FML

The girls in that "club" last night were awesome (or was I pi$$ed)

Off to DTD club in a few minutes so if you are there give me a shout.

my head hurts

Priceless....................

I think Laxie has your bankroll.   ;D

Oi!  Wasn"t ALL my fault ffs!

Ger lands home and pops up on msn.

"Few of us playing PLO Ger.  Fun game"

"Where?  I"m on my way."

And so he does.

When Ger lands after a night of drink ya know yer either in trouble or gonna win the world.  I mostly choose to limp fold a lot.  Did that for feckin AGES on this night if memory serves.  Anyway, I"m pottering along nicely.  Up a few but nothing major when a sick river from hell said "have a nice day" to one buy in.  To be fair, wasn"t Ger"s fault.  Was some other fish for a change.

Reload the max again and fold for another few hands.  All the while Ger and this guy we know named Stu are having a willy waving contest.  Raise, re-raise, re-re....you get the idea.  And 9 times out of 10 with abso rubbish.  As ya do.  lol  Anyway, I"m still fuming when Ger does the raise pre challenge again with some other lad.  Only this time, I kinda like me hand and still had the full buy in.  Call she does.

I haven"t a clue what cards I held, what the flop came down or who bet what.  It was late.  All I can be sure of is I had an ok ish hand on the flop, they bet and I called.  On the turn my hand turned into one of those "no getting away" jobbies.  I had the world of draws.  Only Ger and the Lad went "bet pot", "re-raise pot" and up to me.  Soooooooooooo, still slightly on tilt and had already announced I was hitting the sack after one last round, I decided feck it.  Before I called the all in I typed, "Imma bout to miss the world here."

Oh hi der world.  lolololololol  Yep.  Hit the lot.  And that"s how it went.  Ktnx bye.

PS  love ya Ger.  xx

DTD as we all know is a great place to play poker. A small point noticed yesterday was that it has amazingly seemed to have gotten closer to Chester. Normally the trip would take just over 2 hours approx. Cue Shogun Airways. We left DTD at 20:15 and landed at the local Chinese (after ordering by phone of course) at 21:35. That"s an hour and 20 minutes to cover 105 miles.

Another good weekend with a bunch of good people. Hit the smoke at around 4pm on the Friday and headed out to meet up with a few friends. Ended up in the pub just down from the casino where we lined the bar with APATers. Funniest part of that was the wee man and Paul McGuinness playing the quiz machine with two locals. Talk about the blind leading the blind drunk.

Decided to play the evening tournament which was a laugh, 3k chips and self dealt, carnage, but funny. Some points to note. Popping £50 a time on black on the roulette table doesn't work, popping £50 on red does and blackjack paid for the weekend.

The main event was good fun and I started out on the same table as Scouse, Ant, James Edwards, Delboy, Ed Gasgoine, Jamie Reeves and the lovely Kitty Lea. Ed Gasgoine was busy early on at the table knocking Delboy out in the first few minutes when he called a raise with 6 7 and turned a straight to Delboy's flopped set and all the chips went in. I trundled along and got a few chips courtesy of quad 5's and then someone had the bright idea of moving us all to the feature table.

I was up and down for a while and after some attempted steals, my exit hand was a little tilty even for me. I had QJ suited and raised got a caller and with a J high flop I bet a good chunk only to be re raised all in. I had less than 8 BB's and decided to call only to see A J and I was history. (I did outlast the wee man this time though)

Well done to all who reached the final table and a very well deserved victory for John Murray in the main event. Overdue and it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Another great tournament with great people. Roll on Vienna.
