Troy Rutherford goes in fifth, as he did in event #1 yesterday.

Facing a small raise from Ash Naik, Rutherford pushed all in over the top.

Naik could hardly believe his luck and made the call.

Rutherford  7h 7s
Naik  Ac ad1

The board didn"t improve things and we lose Troy in fifth.

....and we lose Jamie Rowe in 4th.

The counts for the remaining players are roughly:-

Ash Naik - 190k
Andrew Hayton - 70k
Gary Miller - 50k

We lose Gary Miller in third, his  Ac 5c beaten by the  Ah 4s of Andrew Hayton, with the  4d on the flop.

We are now heads up.

Gary Miller, Bronze.

...and we have a winner.

The chips went in and the players turned over:-

Ash Naik  Kc Qc

Andrew Hayton  5d 5h

The board ran out  Jc 5s 8d

Turn  2c

River 5c

So Quads for Andrew Hayton, who takes Gold and event #3.

Ash Naik takes Silver, making a great weekend for him in addition to his win in event #2 last night.

Andrew Hayton, Gold

Ash Naik, Silver

Event #4 the PLO has just finished with the cash going to the following four players:-

1 - Lee Dillon
2 - Ben Taylor
3 - Celia Liu
4 - Dean Robinson

That result concludes our Newcastle festival. I"d like to thank John Cormach and his team at Aspers Newcastle for the excellent job they did over the weekend. Everyone was very welcoming and while it was an unusual APAT weekend, it was as friendly as any I"ve attended.

Until the Festival of Pub Poker later in the month, this is bon voyage!

The regionals way back when were great, that was the first time I had played poker in a casino, and was great experience for a beginner. We had big fields in Manchester and I was sorry to see them go, but nowadays with lots of affordable and good structure tournaments around I don"t think they would work as well as they did then. I was at the G in Blackpool last night, where for £45, we got 20K stack and thirty minute blinds for the first two hours and then 25 mins, and a Sunday Roast at the break !!  :)
