US Masters 2014
« on: April 08, 2014, 20:39:27 PM »
My favourite event of the year to bet on (mainly because I"ve had the most success in the past with it).

My picks:

Matt Kuchar 25/1
Dustin Johnson 28/1
Ryan Moore 100/1
Matt Every 150/1
Boo Weekly 400/1

The latter 3 to lay off if they start well, wouldn"t expect them to last the course. Johnson"s a bit thin too.

Scott to beat McIlroy, Kuchar to beat Mickelson and Stenson to beat Rose, all 3 pay about 9/1.

Boo Weekly seems epic value, near the top of the stats tee to green so far this season. Putting has been dreadful this year but has still made 9/10 cuts, so he"ll at least give himself chances. Surprised Kuchar isn"t shorter, think he was only at 40s before he came 3rd two years ago with no prior form.

Good picks imo.

btw, there"s a "bet £10, get a £10 free bet" offer on Coral for new and existing customers: http://affiliate.coral.co.uk/processing/clickthrgh.asp?btag=a_11938b_6124

Place a £10 Win Single bet pre-tourney, and they"ll credit you with another £10 bet to place in-play.

I reckon I"ll go either Keegan Bradley or Justin Rose. £10 to win @ 33/1.

I backed Adam Scott at 16/1
His price has shortened since Tiger Woods pulled out, but I still recommend anyone to get a few quid on.

Yeah. I like Cabrera a lot here. Can"t see a major happening for Westwood though :(

I"m a little irked that Ryan Moore went and won the par 3. Time to break the curse please!

Weekly followed up a solid start with an 83, that"s why he was 400/1!

I took advantage of a sign up promotion to double odds of your first Masters bet, so I still have Kuchar at 44/1 e/w, paying top 6. Think he"s had the best of the conditions so I"d have hoped he"d be higher.

That and my saver:

Kuchar beats Mickelson
Scott v McIlroy
Stenson v Rose

Bill Haas playing well. 100/1 would have been good for an EW bet for sure.

Really like Bubba, so would be great to see him win again. Awesome  to see Freddie Couples playing so well too.

Whatever happens hope it"s very close. Golf playoffs are one of the most exciting things in all of sport imo.

Well done Mark. Watson never entered my thinking this year.

I managed to dwell over laying off Kuchar when he went favourite after 4. Decided to do the dishwasher instead - cue double bogey.

FFS.

Still in profit at least as he managed to hang on for my e/w bet.

He really showed some spirit in that back 9. Couples clung on to the top 20 as well despite going +5 on the back 9.

Booked a decent win on the Masters which is a first. Just in time to give it all back this weekend coming..
