APAT SEASON 8 IN ASSOCIATION WITH CORAL - LEG 1 BRISTOL - PLAYER BRIEFINGKicking off the APAT Season 8 Tour, Leg 1 will be the Welsh Amateur Poker Championship played at the Rainbow Casino, Bristol Harbourside (formerly Gala Harbourside) on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July 2014.

HERE The casino is open 24/7. The poker room will be open from 11:00 Saturday and Sunday - and cash games usually continue to circa 07:00 daily.
All players must join as members, which is free, and photo ID is needed - you may complete the online registration form

APAT Weekend Schedule Of EventsWe strongly recommend every player turns up well in advance to complete their required event registration (and allow for any time needed to gain entry to the venue - including joining the venue as a member).
Players may leave the venue after registering for an event but we encourage you to be back and seated by 5 minutes prior to the event advertised start time. However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the events and chips will be put into play, and remain in play, and you will be blinded out.

APAT Welsh Amateur Poker ChampionshipWith immediate effec: Players can guarantee their seat by using the
Online Holding Tank for this event, with a total of 100 seats allocated, which will close on 26th Jun. ALL players who have pre-registered/bought-in in advance via the Online Holding tank will have their chips put into play at the start of the event and, if not seated, will be blinded out from the start - you DO NOT need to register in the venue prior to the event start - APAT will provide your name to the venue and register you into the event - so just turn up and take your seat. If you register online via the holding tank, and subsequently do not de-register online before the holding tank closes, and subsequently you are unable to use your seat, then you need to use the APAT Seat Exchange facility

HERE. ALL players who reserve a seat via the APAT Eventbrite facility must register in person, and pay the full buy-in, at the venue poker room cash desk before the event advertised start time - failure to do so means your reserved seat will immediately be lost and re-allocated.
On the day: Players can buy-in via the venue, in person, for whatever seats remain, on a first-come-first-served basis from 2 hours prior to each Main/Side Event.
You are advised that there is a total 180 player capacity on the Main Event, plus Alternates up to the first break which will be after Level 3 (with late entries, no re-entry), and you are recommended to avail of the online holding tank or APAT Eventbrite facility ASAP to guarantee your seat.

APAT Welsh NLHE/PLO Tournament Side Events Players must register/buy-in for this event at the venue poker room cash desk from 2 hours prior to the event advertised start time. You are advised that there is a 50 player capacity, plus alternates, with late entries, no re-entry, for the first 3 levels.
PrizesEach event prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the venue after the event has closed for further entries.

HEREThe winner of the Welsh Amateur Poker Championship will win an "added value prize" of entry to the S8 WCOAP main event, with the top three finishers receiving the coveted APAT Amateur Championship Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
Season 8 Ranking Points will be awarded as per
HERELive UpdatesResources (technology, personnel and time!) allowing, a live update will be provided on the events with player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend - the priority will be the Main Event.
For those members who feel they may be able to offer assistance in this area then please simply just come over at any time during the weekend and let us know - you can start immediately! - but especially, if we have any 'budding photographers' who would be available to take photos of all players (single mug shots!) at the start of an event then please also let us know ASAP.
Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the APAT forum - guests will need to register as a member on the forum to see pictures from the event - and to post on the forum - member registration is free.
