It has been confirmed as PLO... could APAT please confirm starting chips/clock and payout structure... if possible before 9.00pm!  ;)

Cheers.

Also Chips / Clock / betting structure (PL or FL) and payout for the Razz and Stud would nice.

All side events will offer a starting stack of 3,000 chips and run to the appropriate WSOP $1,500 structure, but with a 30 minute clock.  Each event will be dealer dealt and the Stud and Razz events are limit tournaments.  If there appears to be demand for the side events, we will look to further develop this festival going forward.

Thanks for the info Des.

What about the payout structures? 10% of field / Final table paid? Percentages to each place?

Cheers,
Alan

We"ll look at number of entries before finalising but our thinking is standard APAT 10% of the field, at the moment.  Even if the events fill, the prize pools are going to be pretty small.

hmmmm at 3000 chips.

With a 30 minute clock, starting at 2.30pm you would easily finish in one day with 10k chips!!

The side event at Luton G fessie"s is a £250 with 30 min clock, starts at 8pm, usually around 50 runners and is done in a day - they give 7500.

Des, please reconsider the starting chips - I do not see many people wanting to come play a 3000 chip comp - specially omaha.

The UK circuit is short of omaha comps, it would be good if APAT put on a decent one.

10k chips please, pretty please?!?

Very valid point.  Think this needs to be looked at based on comments people are making from other tournaments.

this pains me to say but..... I agree with M3 (only joking mate) 10k would be fine with the size of field planned.

There must be some kind of formula to give a general idea of length of tourney based on chips in play, blind level duration and blind structure.

Probably worth looking at some of the Regionals that took place in season two. Ok, so it"s not going to be a spot on comparison, but it could give a reasonable idea of duration.....

Agree with M3?!?! Wot ever next! lol (joke m8)

Yes 10k would be done and dusted by 12.30 am - based on my experience at Lutons £250 omaha comp.

Certainly we"ll not discount having a larger opening stack, particularly with the Omaha event.  We"re feeling our way around this and will be better positioned to finalise these details once this week is out.

agree with 10k stack, cant justify coming that far for a 3k jobby and I imagine a fair few will feel the same.

Omaha tourneys usually finish a bit quicker than Holdem as you get a lot more big hand clashes.

Thanks Des, excellent. If thats the case I may be able to click in late to the other events too.

also, quick question about the stud events.....

Are they being played 8 handed?

If so, shouldn"t the number be capped at a multiple of 8 (its 50 at the mo) or are you expecting the demand to be less for these events?

The link is still live on Main Page, so I think they are still available.
