Thank you to everyone who applied for the team. There were a number of applications and I"m sorry I could not pick everyone. However, I"m really pleased with the team chosen and am delighted to announce that the following will be representing team APAT, in no particular order:
TOM CLARK - Tom has been a long standing supporter of APAT events having represented Scotland in the home internationals and he"s on good form at the moment having taken down a side event at Bristol in June.
WARREN JONES - Warren needs little introduction having won the APAT main events in Coventry and Cardiff last year. In addition to that he has numerous other cashes and will do us proud. One of Wales finest!
JO HOWARD - Jo has proclaimed herself team Princess and has reminded me on numerous occassions that she has two gold medals and will be doing her utmost to add a third. Having captained Scotland previously, her experience in team events will be a great asset.
JOHN MURRAY - John is a longstanding member of the APAT community and is fresh from two cashes at this years World Series, and he has numerous APAT cashes going back a number of years. A technically strong player who will no doubt score good points.
MATTY WARD - Matty runs deep in most events that he plays and is ideally suited to an event such as this, as his nickname "The Stockton Rock" suggests! He"s represented England previously and I"m delighted to have him on board.
DAVE PILKINGTON - David is a great supporter of APAT events and I"ve been impressed with his team support at other team events. He always knows the points required and is APAT through and through. He has a gold medal to his name already as well as a deep run in the Irish Winter Festival.
STEVE RODERICK - Steve is a great player as well as a great supporter of APAT both on the forum and at live events. His APAT cashes are numerous, and I think he has 7 main event final tables which says it all. An obvious choice.
So with me playing as well, that"s our team and I feel like it"s a good one. With representatives from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales it represents the forum well and we will march proudly into Manchester ready to conquer all who stand in our way!!
GO TEAM APAT
