poker in Oxford area?

Hi All

i have just move to Abingdon near Oxford and wondering if there any locals tell me what casinos or card rooms are in the area . I am going to have a search on net but yuou cant beat local knowledge!!

I used to live in reading which isn"t too far from Abingdon and there are a couple of casinos there, one which definitely has a cardroom.

As for oxford, dunno, but I"m sure you could join the oxford uni poker society, where I"m sure you would have a field day!

I live in Witney... about 15 miles away.

There is a game at Abingdon Snooker Club, Sundays I think. I haven"t been but it is run by a friend of mine, I"ll PM his contact details.

There"s a nice friendly Monday night game at a pub just over the border in Gloucestershire, be about 25 miles from Abingdon... has some very juicy cash game action as folks get knocked out of the tourney... if you want more info on this one let me know.

Other than those, the Stanley Casino (Maxims) in Reading has regular touranments, mostly re-buys I think.

Probabaly see around somewhere!

Also Gala Casino in Northampton is 1hr drive, not too bad.

I live in leicestershire, a bit of a drive but ill always glady take your money of you, I also have friendly games on wednesday and saturday and the pots can reach £1000 so if you want ill always take you money.

If Leicestershire counts as the Oxford area he might as well just go to Dusk Till Dawn.  Casino Copenhagen just across the water too.

am in liverpool for a few weeks but will be tryin them out when i get back !
