      Looking for some info on books that are worth reading on the subject of MTT, S&G and general NLH

Harrington on holdem series, scott fischmans "online Ace", havent read them but the new Harrington on cash will probably be worth a read too. Avoid Phil Hellmuths book or books like the plague! Chris

Not a bad read. Not so much a how to, but more about the approach to the game.

Halfway through the first one.  Very easy to read (different to a LOT of poker books) like the original series of books, and although it goes over a lot of stuff that"s obvious there"s still always stuff to learn.  It also makes sense to read what others are reading...

Avoid Phil Hellmuths book or books like the plague!

Definitely good advice.  That book is utter crap.  I got half way through and put it down.  Think it might come in handy as a firelighter...

Ii haven"t read too many poker books. Tried the Super System but never really digested most of it. My bread and butter games are single table Sit and Go"s - do we know if there is a decent book out there that specialises and focusses on this area of play?

Read Collin Moshman"s book a little while ago: "Sit "n Go Strategy".  Was pretty good.  PokerPlayer have had excerpt articles from a new Sit "n Go book by Phil Shaw.  Don"t know whether it"s actually been released yet.

Fischmans has some decent Sit n go theory in it but possibly not much different than you do anyways, deffinately has good advice if your just beginning playing them. Ive got quite a few books if anyone is interested in borrowing let me know and ill list what ive got

have read two poker books. i read "poker for dummies" (dont laugh!) after the first couple of months of playin and seen an immediate improvement in my game. its really easy to read and digest. plannin to go back over the chapters i skipped which cover other variations of the game as i been havin fun playin a few low limit HORSE sngs.

i have also read harrington volume 1, this is more in depth and i would def recommend it. keep plannin to read volume 2 but you cant beat real game experience to learn from your mistakes/successes.

Gus Hansens new book is worth a read. Not a how to play poker book at all, but very interesting for a fan, especially the hand what he gets involved in with paul Wasika. ( a coupple of nutcase agressive players who you wouldnt want to be at your table)

im half way through reading Daniels new book "power holdem", so far brilliant. Cant wait to get to the small ball chapter. Unfortunatly, to try a small ball approach to the game you need to be playing in a deepstack event with lots of play and a slow clock. Not to many of them around in this country. ....

by the way, if a British person makes the final table of the main event, maybe thats the kick up the backside that this country needs so that all the casinos will start running good structure tourneys at an reasonable price for the average fan like me.
