They are non ranking one day events where players are scheduled to have 3,000 chips on a 30 minute clock.  Until later this evening when the Omaha goes on sale, we really don"t know whether their will be any demand to play in the side events, so this year will be a bit of a learning experience.

You posted the answer to my question... just as I was asking... but on the wrong thread... spooky!!

Unfortunately, it"s not the answer I was looking for... I was looking forward to a nice deepstack Omaha tournament... but I don"t think I will be travelling for a 3000 / 30 min jobbie... shame.  :"(

We"d like it to be a longer structure, and if we get a smaller field than expected (more likely with Stud and Razz I suspect) then we may look to increase starting chips to give more play.  However, it is important that each event finishes in a single day.

Hopefully i"m in  ??? - got a receipt from metachange and the following page has appeared:

Transaction Completion

Congratulations on registering a seat for your chosen APAT event. You will shortly receive a transaction receipt from Metacharge, confirming the event name and the entry fee.

So i look forward to seeing you all at the Vic on 27th  ;D

I think I just managed to enter this although I paid with a mastercard. I noticed after that no.3 on your list of conditions says that you only accept debit cards..Does that mean I"ve messed up and I"ll have to do it again?

Anyway I"m really looking forward to these and I"m gonna try and play in em all. I"ve been trying to play in an Apat event for ages but have always had something on.

We will be switching to debit card only payments during the week, but it was possible to use a MasterCard this evening.

Des,
Could you please let us know the intended start time for these side events.

Thanks

Hi Mike,

They are scheduled as daytime events - so with a 2.30pm start.  We have also capped the field size to 70 runners in the Omaha and 50 runners in the Razz and Stud.  If there is demand for the side events we will extend the festival and increase field sizes in Season Three.  The main event will have a 200 capacity and be run as all other APAT National Championship events.

i"d have thought the Razz and Stud events would be capped at a number that is a multiple of 8, or are they being played 10 handed??

bump my question

It is scheduled for 3,000 Rich.  As I said, we may review that and increase based on a decreased field size, but worst case is 3,000.
