A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.

Do not walk behind me, for i may not lead.
Do not walk ahead of me, for i may not follow.
Do not walk beside me for the path is narrow............
............. In fact, just naff off and leave me alone.

Numeric probability, in poker, is probably not all that important when you"re guessing.

The darkest hour is just before dawn.
So if you are gonna steal your neighbours milk, that is the time to do it.

The past always looks better than it was.  It"s only pleasant because it isn"t here.

A chubby man with a white beard and a red suit will approach you soon. Avoid him.  He"s a Commie.

Yesterday I was a dog.  Today I"m a dog.  Tomorrow I"ll probably still be a dog. Sigh!  There"s so little hope for advancement.

How to mend football.

Now what is wrong with a good old throat grab and a wild haymaker fizzing past a midfield rival"s ear? We are not talking about kiddies running onto the pitch, we are talking about your Keanes, MacMahons, Hurlocks and even your little Dennis Wises.

All this "What about the kids?" And "they should set an example." Sod the kids, we want to see a good old dust up, preferably between a big old bruiser and a spotty teenager who fancies his chances before he quickly realises he had better stand behind the referee for protection.

Or maybe switching the kids attention towards greed is good and Roasting hotel romps may open up better areas for example setting?

If scientific reasoning were limited to the logical processes of arithmetic, we should not get very far in our understanding of the physical world.  One might as well attempt to grasp the game of poker entirely by the use of the mathematics of probability.

Oh, well, I guess this is just going to be one of those lifetimes.

(oh and congratulations to Dawn (Laxie) who took down the stars deepstack last night (this morning) after 12 hours of poker)
