Have ran pingdom analysis and it"s reporting a load time of 2.2 seconds

yep, me neither.

but then I posted my comment last night, not this morning ;)

Last night, trying to open any thread would take anything from 30 to 60 seconds (at times).

Sorry Steve.. it"s almost as though there is other things to do at midnight on a weekend than work for free ;)

Is it your initial connection to the website.. sometimes that can be a little slower whilst it allocates a session.

It takes an age to load up, then any navigation round the site takes longer than usual(expected)

Odd.. seems OK for me. There"s some patches on the server to install will put them on later and do an off and on again. That should help. See what it"s like tomorrow.

Anyone noticed any improvements in performance with the forum over the weekend?

Tweaks have been tweaked.

For me the initial connection to the forum can take upto 5-10 seconds, but once on seems to be much quicker.

Would say "touches wood". But that would be all wrong.
