great season 3 prospects..intial thoughts..shame regional have gone, but take up wasn"t as hoped i"ve no doubt?...

my only comment, is at a time of tight money (credit crunch, call it what you will)..online has gone from $10/$20 to $80+..and now live events are not local and $80 +

at a time of belts tighten..APAT have raised the cost of poker for the majority of its members it holds dear

Fair comments.  We"d rather have kept the Regional venues in play but that would have been extremely difficult with Blue Square.  The Online National Championship events are each a one off and the National League will be the focus of the ongoing community and chat for the coming season.  We think the team element will add to that and build upon what the Online Series offered in S2.  The buy in to those events is $10 + $1, so no change there.  There will be a better range of satellites into the live and online National Championship events, so hopefully more opportunities for people to gain seats more cost efficiently.

Will the online events be password protected?

The National League events will.

I"m pretty sure I read that there were low cost sats into the online nationals as well....

Just one point from me,

will there be a nice little at a glace schedule with everything on.

Just so I don"t get confused - that happens often.

Yes, this should go online shortly through the Tour button above.

That was my only requirement for season 3. took months of negotiation to not return there and caused a lot of delay.

ok, read the schedule about 6 times now, and its starting to sink in.

I think the one disappointment for me, like others is the lack of regionals as was hoping to hit these on a regular basis, however there"s a lot to make up for that, and quite excited by the online "club" games and also hope to make a roll on bsq to regularly play in the online championships too.

Once again some great prizes, especially with the club online games, and I think its a great idea about the 4 winners giving a cut to other point scorers should they cash, and pretty impressive with the GUKPT champion of champion seats for the live games.

I"m sure there will be further questions, regarding the live team comps, but plenty of time for that.

So thanks for announcing the brief tonight Des, and good luck all for season 3, hope to see you on the road / online.

Mike

I didn"t play the online games..but you were paying $80 a month for online games if you played all of them I think weren"t you?  It"s the same outlay for season 3 just one bigger game instead of 8 almost piddly ones.
