my only comment, is at a time of tight money (credit crunch, call it what you will)..online has gone from $10/$20 to $80+..and now live events are not local and $80 +

I"m pretty sure I read that there were low cost sats into the online nationals as well....

good point well made...and im certainly not "moaning" as the whole APAT is simply brilliant, and has helped my game no end..and will contiue to do so ive no doubt...i will play as much as i can trust me!!

I don"t think anyone has taken the points made as moaning.

I know that a lot of people are disappointed at the lack of Regionals etc, believe me, myself and other regional managers are just as disappointed. However, under the circumstances, APAT still has a lot to offer and entertain its members.

I do know that Des has done an awful lot of work behind the scenes, to put together the schedule that we have, and I for one would like to thank him for all the hard work that he has put into this.

At first glance, looks like an improvement to me.

The online events are now "events".  They have qualifiers, and are now meaningful tournaments that people will look forward to.  Saturday night won"t be suitable to all (not sure that they"ll be any good for me), but they have to be on one night of the week and whichever night it"s on it"s not going to suit everyone.

The nationals looks excellent, and again are the Blue Riband events for APAT (as they should be).  The addition of DTD to the schedule makes perfect sense (as all who have played there will testify).

The lack of regionals is a shame, BUT - I don"t think they were right last year.  Some regionals were better organised than others, and some casinos took them more seriously (or were able to host them better than others).  Basically, it was outside APAT's control how good they were.  It also appeared that the casinos (i.e. Grosvenor) couldn"t dedicate the staff and resources that were initially promised to these events.  In the end, they weren"t all proper "APAT" events.  So although their ommission leaves a hole, I"m not sure it"s an APAT-sized hole that"s left.

Need to read up on the regional stuff, as at first glance it"s a little confusing.

Des and the gang - great work yet again.  Roll on Season 3...

My initial two penneth is that as I"m not an online player ..unless Blue Square can develop a mac friendly poker site in the next few weeks...it"s a case of as you were from season 2.  Which is great.  I love the live national events and will make attempts to play them all this time around.  Especially looking forward to the DTD events assuming they"re confirmed as a venue.

Shame the regional live events have been lost, but since I live in Oxford I won"t miss traveling 60+ miles to play a self-dealt £20 freeze-out.  Look forward to seeing everyone in Walsall.  Thanks to Des et al for putting together another season.

Once again you have outdone yourselves, Des and crew.  The schedule looks fantastic and the additional online events are just fab and I very much look forward to participating.

Fantastic work all of you and I look forward to S3.

One thing I noticed is that you have not named one UK Forum Team Championship but UK Amateur Team Championship, is this to replace the Forum one and will the teams be made up of any team of individuals or will it be forums only?
