If anyone has not voted in the APAT Awards, now is a good time to do so as voting closes tomorrow.

Several award nominations are separated by one or two votes so your thoughts will count.

Once again you have outdone yourselves, Des and crew.  The schedule looks fantastic and the additional online events are just fab and I very much look forward to participating.

Fantastic work all of you and I look forward to S3.

One thing I noticed is that you have not named one UK Forum Team Championship but UK Amateur Team Championship, is this to replace the Forum one and will the teams be made up of any team of individuals or will it be forums only?

Thanks Mary.  The UK Team Championship is the same (I think it was called this during Season Two also) and it will be aimed at teams from forums once again.

Did APAT intercept my letter to Santa as the Season 3 briefing is pretty much a straight rip-off of what I wanted!

Gutted there are no regionals, they were the bread and butter of APATs live poker, at a low low buy in.
The Nationals look great and with satellites in make them atainable at a low buy in, but how many will be left to buy in to?
Little bit confused about the club thing, is it live or on line, and if live, then where?
I know, the staging is difficult, but as a sportsman Saturday nights are lousy for me, particularly in the summer, and I can"t play the first on line in Jan cos of a family bash, so a bit pi**ed off about that.
I thank Des and the team for all their efforts, but at the moment having read through twice, I am left feeling a bit disappointed, for me the live side of the game was what APAT was all about, and at the moment that seems to have been reduced? Am I right? Or not? Been on the booze since 4, can"t actually believe I have managed to type this!

Right my small brain has managed to comprehend some of season 3 schedule.I think the online series is fabulous.I know the higher buy in wont suit all ,but with sats it should make it worthwhile ,and not  just a low buy in donk fest (which come to think about it i"m quite good at)  ;D

How is the winning club decided in the National League final? Is it the club the individual winner belongs to or are points awarded for places 1 to 9 as in the fortnightly constituent events?

excellent schedule Des and team , just a couple of Q"s

1) WCOAP 3 day main event - is this a day 1a and 1b followed by a final day 2 or a srtaight 3 day event ( possible if at DTD )

2) APAT National Online League -

There will be a total of twenty rounds in the National League, with the top three clubs in each division; and the highest scoring non qualifying club, going forward to compete in the National League final on November 14th.

call me thick ( and i know some of u will) but im assumiing this will still be online

I think we"ve covered off the regionals elsewhere Mike, and yes, we"d rather have had them in and we had some significant developments on last year planned, but we had to readdress our plans due to market conditions.  Personally, I think the Regionals worked well at some venues last year and not so well at others.  It was always a concern for me that they lacked a number of the qualities that make APAT events special, but that said, I don"t for a minute doubt that they will come back in the new format, but we, like everyone else in the industry, will have to tighten our belt in the interim.

I disagree.

The regionals "could" have been the bread and butter for APAT.  But they weren"t.  Many were self-deal, which is far from the APAT ideal.  Some were very badly run, others were brilliantly run.  But variance is not what APAT is trying to achieve.  I don"t think the casinos were ready for what APAT wanted to deliver.  From what Des is delivering for Season 3, it appears that the sponsor is thinking along the same lines.

It"ll be like Season 1 again.  If you want to play, you CAN get a seat.  It just depends how much you want a seat.  Yes, it might mean some are disappointed, but that"s the case no matter how the seats are allocated if the demand outweighs the availability.

I need to re-read this again as well.

For some, week nights are no good.  For some Saturdays are no good.  For others, Sundays aren"t any better.  I don"t think that Saturdays are ideal for me - but I think that they are good for the vast majority.  Sunday would arguably be better, but APAT have gone for Saturdays - and that"s the day they"ll be held.  I think I"ll have to miss a few unfortunately, but that"s how it will be.

I think the Nationals are what APAT was (and still is) about.  The regionals would be part of this in an ideal world, but they didn"t quite hit the mark or reach the APAT standard in Season 2.  Like I"ve said previously, some of the venues held regionals that were worthy of the APAT ideal - but many others weren"t.

lol....thanks Stan (and Stella  :D).

1)  Discussions still being had with DTD on this.  It depends on how big both parties want the event to be.

2)  Still online, yep.
