I Kinda lucked out few hands b4 first break, in BB 5c 5h,  Duff to  win raises x3 when folded to him. :as: ts,

SB Davie "forththistle" calls, so do i after pause.

Flop  :3s: 4s 4h  I like it a lot,  8) Duff bet 600 2/3 pot sb fold, i put him on flsh drw, hope not bigger pockets? i re> to 1400 Duff calls.

Trn :3h: Chk/Chk, now i"m convinced.

Magic rvr  5s  I bet 1/2 pot, try to look like steal, hope for re>, Boom he"s all in. Worst rvr for him, 4 or 3 spades just as bad, but perfect and lucky for me.
takes to 12k and 2nd.

After break, massive mistake v forththistle flat calls utg, i cheeky cal  7h kh

flop kd 8s 9s i pot he calls, i put breaks on, has he called A-K?

turn  8h chk / chk, i"m worried

rvr brings ks, he bets 780 ish, i think he"s got same, but chance of quads with the 8"s and  chk on trn, now bets. I just call and he shows    8d 7d. Wow!! questions asked at table, why no raise, so being me i just reply as i"m stupid. Which is silly really, because they will probably read this.  so maybe i am plain daft, but i think maybe the question, why no raise was just as bad??? What do you say???

i would raise because i wouldnt have put him on 88 as I think he would have played the set harder on the flop with the 2 flush cards out there and the odds he has it are low.

I asked the question you have the 2nd nut hand and only losing to 88. Wasn"t trying to be a twat just mystified you didnt bet.

Shock of shocks, second break achieved. Doubt very much I"ll make the third one though.

Hey John no probs, i really was being a twat, i messed up really i did. So embarrassed, i did similar in the omaha the other week, i didn"t realise i had quad "Eights strangely enough". I"ve been playing rough a little lately due to reasons i won"t bore you with. Here are two massive unbelievably stupid basic mistakes that a total beginner would have trouble making. Admittingly i was also distracted at the time.

Now i have made a twat of myself by trying to correct my mistake by acting clever. I am not and i am sorry. As i typed the bit above, i continued with second hand and then tried to justify.

I apologise to you mate. Didn"t mean to bull****, it"s just not me, as i said above

pffff 30odd hands in a row without anything playable,  got myself shortstacked. finally got half a hand and shoved from late position, only for my KJs to run into AK.

one day, just one day..........

Gone in 27th, queens lost to a rivered king. Good luck to all left in, early night then! My money is on Greyzone, the moon is in his orbit?!
