Anyone noticed any improvements in performance with the forum over the weekend?

Tweaks have been tweaked.

For me the initial connection to the forum can take upto 5-10 seconds, but once on seems to be much quicker.

Would say "touches wood". But that would be all wrong.

Fastest it"s been for weeks.. Hamster is obv we"ll fed now, wtg !"

Same as what Phil said - initially it takes ages but afterwards it flies.

One thing I have noticed when lagging is that at the bottom of my browser (I use Chrome) it often says "Waiting for www.facebook.com". I assume this is related to the buttons that allow us to share forum posts and am wondering if it is this that is sometimes the cause of the slowdown?

Could be a factor Adam, once cached its definitely much quicker. Will ask the boss if the Facebook link is worth keeping, not sure if anyone uses it TBH.

Happy to can that on a test basis Phil to see if it contributes to faster initial loading.
