So, the Razz changes everything. All the patient building of points over several tournaments by Carl, IrishTom and Craig is blown out of the water by one amazing tournament.
Hellmuth started off Day 2 short-stacked and double-booked. He resolved the double-booking by crashing out of the Millionaire-Maker in the first level of its Day 2. I wonder what he would have done if he had doubled up a couple of times instead of losing. He climbed steadily through the field all day in the Razz. From 61/63, I remember him being 24/36 and 11/16. Then suddenly he was 3rd and then 1st. Once it got to the last half-dozen players, it never seemed like he wasn"t going to win.
Only four people didn"t include Hellmuth in their team and three of those picked Chidwick, so everyone except Suzanne scored lots of points in this tournament. Steve and Tom F scored 25 points by having Hellmuth as their captain and also including Chidders.
The league has changed totally. Everyone now has points and some have gone from zero to near the top. These are the points after 18 events:
