Yeah Leigh, I started as Jack1 but when I tried to play under that name, it inexpicably seemed to be taken already on almost every site. I then spent ages trying other names (Jack2, for example...........) but no luck, so I made up this one and, surprisingly (!), no-one else had taken it. I"m using this on any site I play, so I thought I may as well change my name on here so people could recognise that it is the same person and continue their abuse here if they wish.

All makes sense then.  Murray Mint ?     Not sure about the Trav bit though  ???

Maybe John looked like Dave Lee Travis when he was younger??

Just wondering when your going to pick the Ireland Team.  I think we should all go to support who ever gets in the Irish team(hope its me) they will need to book flights and accom soon.  We should get T-Shirts printed to for the team WOOP WOOP.

Dont forget its an amateur event so posting your Big wins is a bit pointless if the Pros get a seat whats the point. lol

Dave, I think it might be after the final APAT ranked events are played out.

There will be no pros playing, but similarly we cannot rule out successful amateurs.  Len will cover off all of these questions with his selections prior to announcing the team.

Des and Col are correct on both points. Plus being an Amateur myself the day job takes up quite a bit of time.

I think the way it"s shaping up is that I will probably pick the top three Irish players from the league and have one wild card Captains pick - Like Faldo, but hopefully not as controversial.

I plan to make offers when the final points tally is in. Once offers have been accepted by all concerned I"ll announce the team.

Paddy Power are sponsoring us for flights , and accommodation to the tune of £1500 for the whole team. Players will have to pay their own entry fee [and bar bills :-) ]

Any questions I"ll get back asap. But this coming week I"m up against a tight deadline so apology in advance if I take my time.

Thanks Dave

For what its worth I think you"d be a great addition to the team. I know you really love the APAT events, and there is no doubting your ability. Good Luck!
