John Black (center) the WCOAP 2015 Cash Champion sits out on the action from his Shootout table 3-handed.

From WCOAP 2016 #3 Shootout

Blinds 800/1600 and Andrew Marshall (left) on the button raises to 3200 and Catalin-Marian Ganclu in the BB calls.

Flop 8s 5s 6s and Catalin checks to see Andrew bet 2500 - Catalin makes the call.

10d on Turn and Catalin bets 3k only to find Andrew pushing all in for a further 11k - Catalin makes the call (and leaves himself with circa 11k behind).

Andrew A s 10c top pair and on the nut flush draw, Catalin 10s 8d on a weaker flush draw but holding 2 pair

River brings 7s to double up Andrew...

#1 HOLDEM

The bubble burst with blinds 2000/4000(500) when Danny Strange in mid position made it 6k to go.

Lee Wyatt, next to act, moves all in for around 36k.

The button and blinds fold and it is back round to Danny who makes the call.

Danny has Ac Kd and Lee has Ah Qs

Within the first three cards, Danny"s lead is increased with 4s 7c Kh
Lee needs a miracle and gets the 6h 10h instead and is the Hold'em Championship bubble boy finishing in 13th place.

#1 Holdem Championship

Chan Kong Ha, under the gun, raises and Luke Fuller, in the small blind and very short stacked, re raises all in and is called in the big blind by Vincent Samuel And and Chan.

The board is checked down by the two remaining active players, Vincent and Chan and on a 10 high board it is the Kh 10s of Chan that puts an end to Luke"s tournament and beat his 8c 9c sending him to the rail in 12th place.

#1 Hold'em Championship

And, we have a final table of 10.

Lee Champion moved all in from mid position and is called in the cut off by Nathan Whiteman. Danny Strange, in the big blind, goes very quiet for quite some time before saying "I didn"t really want to get into it with you two again..." and reluctantly folds.

Nathan announces "8"s" and shows 8d 8c
Lee says "I have one of your improving outs" and shows Ac 8s meaning he needs to see the Ace...

5s 10h 5d .... Nathan maintains the lead.
Js only an ace...
Kc on the river and Lee Champion exits in 11th place.

The players did a re draw for seats and have commenced final table play - good luck to them.

From WCOAP 2016 #1 NLHE

Final Table

Seat - Name
1 - Danny Strange
2 - Vincent Anderson
3 - JJ Abashei
4- Frank Adams
5 - Cornel Miu
6 - Matt Gilland
7 - Nathan Whiteman
8 - Chan Ha
9 - David Whiteman
10 - Ken Lemchi

#1 Hold'em Championship

JJ finds himself short and, in early position, moves all in.
Immediately to his left, Frank Adams makes the call with slightly less chips.
Everyone else folds and JJ has Kd Jc with Frank showing the better hand of As Qh
The first card out changes all that though - Jh followed by 8h 4d and Frank needs running cards or an ace to survive.
The turn is the 9h bringing the flush and straight draws for Frank but JJ still has the lead.
The river...Js

We lose Frank Adams from the tournament in 10th place.

Not long after that and it is Cornei Miu who announces "all in" from late position and finds a call, again, immediately to his left from Nathan Whiteman.
They go to the flop heads up, Nathan has Ah Qd and Cornei has Ad 9s and is the player at risk.

The board comes down 6s A s Qs giving Cornei some flush outs but he will need them all...
The turn of 5c and river of 10c does not improve Cornei"s hand - he is busted in 9th place.

#1 Hold'em Championship

Blinds at 3000/6000

Big hand between Danny Strange and Nathan Whiteman.

Danny raises pre flop to 25k and Nathan makes a considered call.

The first 3 cards on the board are 10s 7s Ac

Nathan checks and then calls Danny"s bet of 18k.

Nathan leads out on a 4h turn and Danny calls.

They both check the river - 6d

Nathan flips over As Js and Danny says "nice" and mucks his hand.

Next hand and Ken Lemchi, in late position, pushes all in for 24k.

And, again, is called directly to his left - Danny Strange on the button.

Ken is at risk and needs his Ks Js to be able to outplay Danny"s Ac Kc

The cards are not with Ken though - 5d Ah 2h Kd 8s

Ken finishes in 8th place.

#1 Hold'em Championship

A double up and an exit in the last half an hour or so, lots of "all in" pre flop moves getting through as the 6 remaining players continue.

Vince, in the small blind, looks at one card and moves all in. JJ, in the big blind, calls instantly and shows Ac Kc
Vince shows the Jh he had looked at and discovers the other card is 4h
JJ is at risk but ahead as we go to the flop:
Ks 7h 10s
JJ increases his lead.
10c on the turn leaves Vince drawing dead and the Qs river is more a formality.

JJ gets the double.

Next hand and it is David Whiteman"s turn to move all his chips across the line from under the gun.
It folds quickly round to Matt Gilland in the big blind who calls even quicker and very speedily turns over his Ac As
David sighs and looks despondent as he shows Qc Qh
David is at risk and needing help.
8c Kh 4h Ah gives David the flush draw...
But the Qd on the river isn"t good enough and he leaves the tournament in 7th place.
