Ananda Maharjah gets a badly-need double-up with a q-high straight against Vince Eley"s two pair, though his double-up still only brings him up to 8k.

And Warren has gone. In 9th place.

Warren Jones gets his mini-stack in early against both William Colman and Alex Polnarev.

William makes two pair, Alex makes trips and Warren can"t even find a pair.

And that means we are on the final table.

3,000 / 1,500 / 500

The first hand on the final table is a big one. Alex completes on 3rd street and Kevin calls. Kevin took over the betting on 4th and bet every street, with Alex calling all the way, but folding on 7th, so 9k finds is way from Alex to Kevin.

Kevin  Kh 10d 7d 9d
Alex  Jc 2s 10c 4s

The next hand is an exact repeat and Kevin takes another 9k from Alex.

Kevin 9c Qh 7d 5c
Alex 10h  Kh 9h 3s

As a matter of interest, Jon the TD informed the table that the betting is not capped on the final table in streets that start heads-up (ie you can keep raising and re-raising as many times as you want).

Jonathan has been knocked out by Warren, one pair AA being enough to beat 88.

Jonathan Dugdall finishes in 7th place.

We have lost Vince Eley and Stefan Roder in quick succession. Both were very short-stacked.

Vince Eley finishes in 6th position.

Stefan Roder finishes in 5th position.

Kevin is a big leader now.

Alex also has a big stack.

Warren is short.

And last year"s winner, Rikky, is our fourth player still in, though he has a mountain to climb, currently holding just 15k worth of chips.

An action hand between Kevin and Warren. Rikky folded on 4th when the boards were showing:

Kevin Ac 10s

Rikky Qh Ks

Warren Ah 10h

Kevin did a lot of betting, though he slowed down at the end. Warren won with AA.

Rikky said he folded KK. To stay in on 4th, he would have had to commit to putting it all in on this hand.

And he wins, with KK being enough, taking him up to 13k.

Warren also recently won a big hand against Alex, who was also Rikky"s benefactor.

Alex still has a substantial gap ahead of Warren, though.

Rikky has just shown us his bracelet from last year. The others look suitably intimidated.
