Right...
So using the late reg rules to his ability Dan has withdrawn his original team, and will be submitting a new team. As he had never paid for his first team there is no change to prize pool.
He is changing CC for Mercier.

John when you ammend team as new any of players cashing in Collossus or Stud do not count.

I don"t think anyone minds if we just change the player, Carl. He said he wanted to change before the Stud had started. Of his team, Hellmuth, Owen and Mercier are still live in the Stud and Moorman is still plugging away in the Big C. Haven"t checked the others, but some of them may be lost in the Colossus crowds too. I think people are content for him to get whatever points that lot generate.

Problem being..

A) Team has been withdrawn as it was unpaid, this was a way around the no subs clause.

So tbh it is a new team although it only had 1 change and being a late reg I"m having to stick to OP and say late reg rule of players scoring from when team has been submitted.

It"s clear that Mercier was already stacked up in the Stud before he was added to the team so, I agree, he can"t get any points for him in that event. It would be harsh not to give him points for his other players, though, if they score.

33 still in the #3 £10k Stud, and we have a lot of them.

Our selections who are still there are:

3 Danzer
6 Anderson
9 Chidwick
10 Mercier
12 Pescatori
17 Leah
23 Owen
26 Somerville
28 Zinno
29 Hellmuth

Negreanu, Gorodinsky, Brunson, Urbanovich, Ashton, Deeb and Rutter also played and fell, Rutter in the last hand of the night.

But guess who else showed up? Playing his first WSOP event for six years, none other than this player:

All the speculation was the Lederer would play the $50k Players Championship, see what reaction he got and take it from there, but everyone has been saying that Ferguson wouldn"t be seen. Yet there he was in one of the early events. He seems to have passed through uneventfully, which would seem to smooth the path for both himself and Lederer to play more extensively during the Series.

Dunno about harsh.. I"m just trying to be fair to the other 19 who have entered if Dan was to win by say 1-2 points and it came down to us not following the rules that was set, I think it would be unfair.

Vinny Pahuja is leading the field by some way in #4: $1000 Top Up Turbo No-Limit Hold'em. I nearly picked Mukul for my team. On reflection, that wouldn"t have helped - you don"t get points for a player"s brother. Jason Wheeler and Liv Boeree are both doing okay, but we dumped them from our teams this year.

With regard to our teams, most of the players still in aren"t identified, which makes it difficult, but I guess if they are "names" they probably would be, so maybe any that we have are on the lists. I can see that Deeb, Ausmus, Moorman and Shak are there and that Urbanovich, Nitsche, Kelly, Esfandiari and Leah have busted. I guess Moorman must have crashed out of the Colossus (though he could have cashed).

And Chris Ferguson played this as well. Looks like he"s going to do a full Series.

And we have a great shot of our first bracelet in #3 $10k Stud, with Danzer, Anderson and Chidwick all in the top five. Owen is also up there in 11th, with Pescatori in 20th out of 21 left. All the rest of our lot are out, so our Dann problem might resolve itself, if Adam Owen can just get himself eliminated before they get down to the last 14.

Surely if a team is only submitted today then he should not be able to get any points from the games that had already started, It was his decision to withdraw his team because 1 player had pulled out but as his other players were going well in a game it was his decision,  and he declared he was withdrawing his original team and submitting a new team which he has done now.

In effect you have allowed a substitution if you count points from the beginning of the series, so I think the new team should be classed as a late entry. Either that or let everyone have one free transfer which will change the rules completely!

It"s clear what the consensus is. Thanks for contributing and not leaving to Carl and me to go round in circles.

We have our first result!

With the Stud still in progress and our interest still live, and the Colossus likely to continue for weeks more, it is Event 4 that goes in the books first for us. Thy are coming back tomorrow for the final table, but we have no-one on it, so I can announce that everyone"s scores achieved for this event were as follows:

Event #4: $1000 Top Up Turbo No-Limit Hold'em

Runners          667
Paid          101
Final Table          9

Player          Position          Points
-          -          -

Selector          Points
-          -

Yeah, that""s right. Not one of you was able to select a single player capable of reaching the cash positions, even though they have been extended to 15% of the field this year. Why do I bother?
