Interesting hand on Table 4, apparently pretty standard for the players involved:

With blinds at 200/400, Pokerpops makes it 800 to go from under the gun plus one.

Trevor Haddick in seat 7 makes the call and Alan Carr, in seat 10, makes it 2700 to go.

Pops re-examines his cards and folds. Trevor happily throws the extra chips in.

After the flop, Trevor checks and Alan makes it another 2700. Trevor calls.

They both check the turn and Trevor checks again on the river.

Alan checks and sees Trevor turn over . Alan mucks his hand and says "I had the better hand pre-flop then"

Well! Things got a bit crazy over on John Murray"s table just now.

John makes it 1400 from 400. Craig Dawson, in the seat next to John, casually makes it 4k.

Anthony Stephenson moves all in for just short of 9k.

John re raises all in for ever so slightly more and Craig flicks in a chip to indicate a call!

The flop... and Anthony takes the lead with two cards to come...

on the turn and it all changes again! John reclaims the lead and is miles ahead with one card to come.

as an anti-climax on the river means we lose Anthony from the tournament, Craig loses a fair chunk and John almost triples up.

Stu informs me that Tom Clark took him out by calling Stu"s all in holding a flush draw and two overs against his pocket 8"s on a 10 high board...Tom got there.

Pokerpops suffers two fairly damaging hands in quick succession:

With the pot at around 5k and in the middle, Alan Carr checks to Pops who bets 2400 and is called.

The river of the precedes a 5.7k bet from Alan and Pops thinks and makes the call.

Alan turns over

Pops has a wry chortle and mucks.

Not long after and Pops makes an opening bet from early position. It folds round to Andrew James who pushes all in for around 8k.
