The "all in" comes on the flop.

A raise to 3600 pre from Alex Lord is called by Daniel Cocksedge.

9d 7s Ad flop sees Alex lead out for 5300 and Daniel moves all in over the top for about another 7k - most of Alex"s stack too.

He makes the call.
Alex has A s Jh
Daniel Kd 8d

5c on the turn and 8h on the river mean Alex stays ahead, doubles up and knocks Daniel out of the tournament.

Simon Brooke is the latest casualty

Having lost a flip not many hands before, he finds a queen and a jack of the heart variety and moves all his remaining chips across the line (around 12 big blinds)

Unfortunately, David Griffiths finds an ace and a queen of the diamond variety and, as Simon tells it "that plays out as you would expect it to"

Joseph Greenfield moves all in pre flop.

David Griffiths looks him up.

Joseph has Kc 9c
David has him covered and has Qs Jd

6s Qd 4h flop puts Joseph behind and at risk

4c on the turn, Joseph needs a king.

Js means David needlessly improves to two pair and Joseph is out.

62 players left, ten minutes of Level 9 and one more level after that until we call it a day.

Average stack is now around 32k.

Scott Berridge gathers up the last 4.4k of Lee Scarth.

Having called pre flop for 800 chips, Scott only had to call another 3.6k when Lee moves all in and Scott"s King high beat Lee"s Ace high with a King on the board.

Last Level of play for today, Level 10. Blinds 500/1000, ante 100, average stack 32.5k

Kevan Stanswood and Dave Kingswell are the latest to fall.

Dave, having had to fold to a re raise on the turn - 3rd heart on the board - a few hands previous, was down to 12k.

Mark Porter raises to 2k and Dave says "all in"

It folds back round to Mark, who quickly makes the call and shows Kd Kh
Dave "Oh well, I have one over" and shows Ad Kc

But the board is a misely 4h 2c 10c 6h 5d and means Mark scoops Dave"s last chips and sends him to the rail.

Shirley Cole limps under the gun plus one.
Scott Berridge makes it 4.3k
Stephen Lewis next to act, moves all in for 8.4k
It folds to Tyler Dexter, in the big blind, who re raises all in for over 40k

Shirley, who clearly didn"t like Scott"s raise to 4k, never mind the rest, folds.
Scott asks for a count as he and Tyler have very similar stacks. He makes the fold showing Ac Kh

Stephen has Ah 9h
Tyler has Js Jc

Stephen needs to improve to survive.

8h Qh 5s flop and Stephen increases his outs. Any heart or ace...

Ad on the turn sees the dynamic switch, Stephen now only has to avoid a Jack and he will almost triple up

6c river and Stephen finds himself with over 20k, average 33k.

Mark Lassman has just shown me a hand from his table.

The age old "shove because I have very few chips and Jh 10c is not bad"
"Call because I have Ad Ac"

Js 10d 10h flop

Blank turn and river.

It"s a wonderful game...
