Has anyone tried the new 8game on Stars? If you know a bit about all forms of Poker, you will find the 8game tournies particularly juicy.  The best I"ve found is each evening at 18:45 (BST) and costs $11 to enter. It usually gets 90 to 100 runners, around 70 of which don"t know how to play either TD2-7 or Razz.

It"s a great way to spend an evening for $11, and is a welcome break from the usual NLH.

Rounds are 6 minutes, and cover...

Limit Holdem
Limit Omaha H/L
Limit Razz
Limit Stud
Limit Stud H/L
NL Holdem
PL Omaha
....and back to the start again

OMG....was a drunk post.

The plan was to register, go to the pub and watch the first half of the City match and come home for the tourney. I"ve only just got back to find that I didn"t even register, (left the tourney lobby open though )

I"ll put it down to the pressures of the job.

I will try and play this tourney at some point though

grrrr bombed out in 2nd. Held a 2:1 chip lead for a while headsup, but ironically it was in the Holdem games that I lost most of my chips headsup!!  Limit Holdem is a horrible game.

Brilliant tourney - relatively easy to get deep, and a heck of a lot of fun along the way.

Always happy to help add valyooo! I played it OK IMO but then heard that the Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony was on so ... I LOVE THE RYDER CUP!!!

I can"t play tonight - am refereeing. One tip for you, especially for TD and Razz.... just play the best hands and play them fast. Don"t try and get clever - half the people who enter don"t know how to play the lowball games, let alone recognise the messages you"re trying to give.

In Razz last night, quite late on, I had A234 showing and had bet or raised every single street.... the other guy called me all the way down showing 8KKK!!  turns out his K lo beat my three pair!!  God only knows how this guy had survived two hours!
