Ladies & Gents, on behalf of Des Duffy, Matt Dale, Leigh Wiltshire, Lucy Amos and I we look forward to welcoming you to the conclusion of APAT's Season 10 - the ninth holding of the WCOAP.
Questions/queries on the WCOAP should be sent to myself via PM HERE or via Facebook Messenger HEREThroughout the period we will be in attendance as follows:
Lucy/Tom - throughout
Matt - (first) Sat/Sun
Leigh - (first) Sat/Sun & Thu-Mon
Des - Thu-Mon
Primarily we'll be working to ensure a smooth running of events, provide a full live update/blog/pics on every event, and to produce a live stream on all but Wednesday... but we hope to have time to grab a beer - after all, we've structured the WCOAP to allow it, so it would be rude not to (don't tell Des)!
IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO OFFER THEIR SERVICES TO HELP OUT WITH THE LIVE STREAM, THEN WE'D GREATLY APPRECIATE IT - PLEASE CONTACT LEIGH DIRECT WITH ANY OFFERS OF HELP (EVEN IF IT'S 'IF I GET KNOCKED OUT'...)
(Please continue to add comments and ask questions etc via the WCOAP 2017 Discussion thread
HERE)

The full individual event structures can be found
HERE All players will have a tournament tracking card for each event, and it must remain visible on the table in front of them at all times - when knocked out it must immediately be given to the dealer.
APAT EVENT BUY-IN AND REGISTRATIONPlayers may reserve a seat in advance via the
APAT Eventbrite facility
HERE - this facility will close for each event at 21:00 the night before, OR when all allocated seats are taken. Please ensure you read
HERE for details of the APAT Eventbrite facility terms and conditions.
For ALL players who reserved a seat via the APAT Eventbrite facility then you must claim your reserved seat by turning up and registering/buying-in in full PRIOR TO the advertised event start time - failure to do so will mean your seat will IMMEDIATELY be re-allocated (and if you turn up later than this then you will have to take a chance that a seat is available).
Online Holding Tanks - download the software for
APAT/Grosvenor HERE and buy in via the Online Holding Tanks - navigate to Tournaments > Grosvenor Live > APAT. This facility will close at 14:00 on Friday 31st March.
ALL players bought-in in advance either via the APAT/Grosvenor Online Holding tank or via direct entry with APAT (eg Online Satellite token or Added Value etc), will have their chips put into play at the start of the event and, if not seated, will be blinded out from the start - you DO NOT need to register in the venue prior to the event start - APAT will provide your name to the venue and register you into the event - so just turn up and take your seat (even if late arriving) - any player who registers and buys in at the venue will also have chips put into play at the start if they are not seated.
Event buy-in will be available at the Venue Poker Room Cash Desk on the day from 1 hour prior to each event on a first come basis for all remaining seats, and an Alternates List will be maintained for each event. The late entry period for individual events are as listed on each individual event
HEREWe strongly recommend you turn up well in advance to buy-in on the day and allow for any time needed to gain entry to the venue (
and join as a member, which you must be to be able to play poker).
Team entry to the Team Championship on Thu/Fri is controlled by APAT and entry is available by APAT INVITATION ONLY.
PLAYERS WHO HAVE BOUGHT-IN FOR MULTIPLE OVERLAPPING EVENTSWe recognise for WCOAP 2017, where we have a lot of multiple-day-events, that not being able to multi-table may restrict event choices and enjoyment throughout the week, and therefore for WCOAP 2017 players WILL be allowed to multi-table where they are involved in Day 2 of an event ONLY, with the exception of the Main Event Final Table.
Examples:
Nobody can multi-table any events on Saturday 8th (as there are no "Day 2" events that day) but if someone plays #1 (8-game) or #3 (6-max) and makes Day 2 of the event being played on Sunday 9th, then they may play the #4 Main Event Day 1A at the same time.
If someone qualifies for #13 PLO Final Table on Sunday 16th, they can multi-table between the PLO and the Main Event Day 2.
No player who makes the Main Event Final Table on Monday 17 April can multi-table between that and the Heads Up nor the Crazy Pineapple.
Anyone who has pre-bought/registered into multiple overlapping events on the same day, and is still playing event 1 when event 2 starts and therefore cannot play event 2 (because they cannot as they are not allowed to multi table same '1 day' events) then they must inform MYSELF BEFORE event 2 starts to ensure a refund - and at this time their seat will be made available to others - they may of course, on departure from the first tournament, then ask to have their name added to the event reserve list.
PRIZESEach exact event prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the venue after the event has closed for further entries.
All Championship event winners (including the 4 members of the winning team from the Team Championship) will be awarded a coveted WCOAP Bracelet and the top 3 players (and teams) an APAT Gold, Silver and Bronze medal.
There are no individual prizes/awards in the Team Championship.
The Team Championship will pay the Top 3 Teams as follows:
World Champions and Gold Medalists: 50%
World Runners-Up and Silver Medalists: 28%
World third placed and Bronze Medalists: 22%
ADDED VALUE The Main Event Champion and the member topping the Season 10 Player Of The Year Ranking Points Leaderboard will both win a
Destination Vegas 2017 package and travel to Las Vegas 3rd to 10th June 2017, with return flights, 7 nights hotel accommodation and entry to the WSOP Colossus on Sun 4th June included.
PLAYER OF THE SERIES - INCLUDING WCOAP ONLINEThe Player Of The Series will be identified as the player in the WCOAP 2017 who scores the most ranking points from all ranking events at the WCOAP 'live' and 'online'. If 2 or more players top the POTS Leaderboard then it will be decided on most cashes, and then the highest finishing position in the Main Event.
WCOAP Online is as follows:
Thu 20 Apr 2017 19:00 | WCOAP Online Side Event - NLHE 6 Max | £4.70+0.30 |
Fri 21 Apr 2017 19:00 | WCOAP Online Side Event - Stud | £4.70+0.30 |
