Well if your having success with the SNGs then its probably best to stick at them! Moving up through the levels or playing 2+ SNGs at once when your ready.

Can relate to what your going through tho as I was trying to figure out cash game opening hands out bout 12 months ago and found it pretty difficult!!

If you do decide to give cash another crack, I suggest avoiding NL 6max (only to start with) as a lot of stealing and restealing goes on here and this is why its quite profitable or "easy money" for good experienced players, post flop play is also very strong.

You can always test yourself at fullring nl/limit and then move to 6max after your beating this level which is pretty simple given the resources online. Find a good online article you think makes sense to work with your style of play, then use pokerstove to tweak it by position, shove it in a document and build your own range as you go along, opening it up as you get better & grow in confidence.Good luck!

1. disregard all poker books for now [imo they hinder and stifle beginners in having flair in there own poker games]
2. play micro stakes with money you can afford to lose
3. play as much poker as you possibly can
4. review all your sessions and hands of intrest [won as well as lost ones]
5. learn from your mistakes
6. even when out of hands, try to predict your opponents cards
7. get active on poker forums and get to know whos advice to take
8. always question your plays , right ones as well as wrong ones
9. join a training site
10. try playing with your hands covered up [aids you in learning opponent reading skills]
11. hopefully a good training site will prevent you from getting to nitty and all the other things odds, equity, reading of opponents etc etc will be advised by cardrunners PokerXfactor etc etc
12. at a certain point you will need pokertracker and hud if still playing cash
13. the list is endless , Above all enjoy playing poker and learn not to tilt
14. totally forget about having hand range charts and learn instead to adjust to opponents ranges and styles of play [poker is about playing the players]
