Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but how are the points allocated for the tag team event?

Every member of a team will get full points. If you have a player on the winning team, you will get 25 points, and so on.

Today sees the conclusion of the Tag-Team, Day 2 of the Shootout and the Omaha Hi-Lo, along with the start of the Colossus and the High Roller.

The Colossus begins at 8pm and the High Roller at midnight, UK time, so you still have time to get your stakes on the STAKER.

The tables were heavily stacked in yesterday's Shootout first round.

Barry Greenstein emerged as the survivor of this one.

Congrats to Scottish Tom, who has both Kurganov and Negreanu in his team, and takes the early lead. He is hereby renamed UK Tom for as long he remains at the top.

Adam had two members of the third-placed team, which messes up my spreadsheet nicely, and Vince came in third, also having two final-tablists. Most people have Negreanu and there were a couple of other cashes.

The WSOP needs to have a serious rethink about this tournament, in my view. The format was gimmicky anyway but, this time, we saw most of the finalists just use one player for most of the event. Boeree and the other three members of the Negreanu team scarcely played at all, just covering the bare minimum, and not appearing at all on Days 2 and 3. There was also no-show from Kuether on the second-placed Kuether/Mandavia team and Martin Jacobson from the sixth-place Jacobson/Radoja pair. I think Fong and Drinan played most of the event for their fourth and eighth-placed teams.

If the WSOP really wants to have a team game, they would do well to look at the structure so people who have virtually taken no part in the event can't collect a bracelet.

Having said that - congrats to Liv Boeree. Liv is not the first APAT player to win a bracelet - anyone remember who walked that path before?

We have just one player, Olivier Busquet, through to tomorrow's final table of #3, the Shootout.

Dominik Nitsche came close, but lost heads-up in Round 2. Everyone who won their first table and reached Day 2 has cashed, so several people have got one point, but only Ian has Busquet in his team.

29 players are through to Day 3 of the Hi-Lo #4. We had cashes with Benny Glaser and Brandon What's His Name, but none of our players have made it into the final day.

Couple of fun names from the Hi-Lo - Alfredo Urtubianegueruela is the first player ever to have every letter of the alphabet in his name. Osama Aweida also played the event - he was going to play #3 but was unexpectedly delayed at Immigration.

79 player are through to Day 2 of #6 - the High-Roller, led by Martin Jacobson (while simultaneously finishing sixth in the Tag-Team). Carrel, Polk, Rast and Smith are close behind.

Two first rounds of the Colossus were played yesterday. I don't know whether many of our players took part, but we didn't have anyone getting through to Day 2. Todd Brunson and Mike Leah had minor cashes.

STAKER NEWS

News on #6, which started as Seven Card Stud and then mysteriously transformed into the High Roller. It was to do with them catching the players who were finishing the Aria event. Pity they didn't figure it out a bit sooner.

It was a direct swap between #6 and #72 - no other tournaments were caught up in it and remain as advertised.

Because of the confusion, #6 has been removed from Staker. Anyone who invested in it will automatically receive a refund.

So, Alec Torelli has been involved in quite a controversy over having his big chips hidden.

Doug Polk got involved, posting a very funny YouTube video that slams Torelli. Then goes to the Rio yesterday and posts a pic of his chips, deadpanning "we are off in the One Drop! Ready to do some serious damage here today", with no reference at all to his chip positioning.

Excellent trolling - more of this kind of thing!

Are you sure? You've got a point now.

I'll get Carl to arrange it. I don't think he's got much on this week.

Play has just finished in the Kigh Rolller, with 23 players still in (20 get paid). It is full of players who have been sacked off our teams - Elky, Seiver, Colman, Jacobson, Polk, Shak, Esfandiari, Galfond, Drinan. We know how to pick them. Or, at least, we used to.

We have three players remaining - Hellmuth, Kurganov and Carrel, with Hellmuth best-placed in 10th position. We should have had another, but David Peters went from chip-leader to busted in the last two hours, doubling up a succession of players along the way. Only two players, who both won big pots near the end, finished the day with more than the 5m stack Peters managed to dust off.

Even that chip-loss is eclipsed by Niall Farrell, who wiped out a big stack in two extraordinary hands early on. First he managed to get all-in pre with JJ against KK for 823k (51BB). A few minutes later, he was all-in pre for 700k (44BB) with KJ (against Q9!), and was eliminated. This is why we'll never become professional players.
