just back in sunny glasgow! flew home early to save me tiltin off any cash in the side games and avoidin scouse"s attempts at gettin me "out on the lash", the high rollin easyjet hotel (with window woo!) seemd a better prospect than the gutter lol!
had a great time at another top class apat event. disappointed with my 29th place finish, especially after runnin a 1k stack before the dinner break upto 31.5k to be one of the chipleaders with 35 left. gettin down to 1k was my own fault, givin free cards with big hands only for the turn to bite me in the ass! my final hand was irrelevant open pushin the button with K10o to run into
in the SB. the first of my two cripplin hands were riverin a set, which gave a well disguised straight to my opponent. the second was a flashback to dublin.....open raise under gun with AK soooted and Briony in small blinds pushed, given price/stack sizes i called but wasn"t happy bout it. when briony turned over AJo i was a little happier, still ahead on flop, and the turn brought the dreaded jack
all downhill after that. yip 50p to all readers for my badbeat story. :"(
All in all i was more than happy with my play and decisions throughout the day.
Overall for my first season in apat im happy with my performance. two medals and of the 3 larger events i played i managed top 30 finishes, narrowly missin out on day 2. im looking forward to season 3 and will be settin myself a few goals, namely makin day 2 and cashin in the nationals and hopefully with a full season (new job permitting) finishing higher in the rankings to be one of the top scottish players.
thanks to my good buddies who railed me yesterday, Kenny, Neil, Rob and Davie and a special shout to Leigh and Scouse as i thought i may have been on my tod after travelling down on my own, cheers for the banter guys
gd luck all left in an c ya in season 3
