I was going to ask this question too, so the 25 pound triple chance, is this 25 pound to  play or is it run as 25 in and then up to 2 25 pound rebuys? some places do double or triple chance differently

ahhh the most confusing tournament in live poker... this is actually a double/triple chance in terms of rebuys...therefore if you exercised all your 3 chances in would cost u £75. this usually differs from casino to casino but i know that this one in particular, this is the case... hope that helps!

Thank you, i know some double chance tournys like swinebag says are done where u get half ur chips at the start and then the others either when u lose half ur stack or at the break and then other casinos just class them as rebuys, cheers for clearing that up

I have been in the Mrs P good books and as a reward she as granted me a night out on my own. :) So I am off to try this casino tonight. £40 freezout, 10,000 chips. Are any other APAT'S going? Sir Percival may make it.

Does anybody know the levels/clock?

I really wish people could give a bit more notice when these added value tournaments are on.  It"s only 4 hours in the car for me and I would have been there if I had known.  :(

Just thought I"d give you a quick summary of last night"s event.

Casino is very nice. On 3 floors with several bars  ;D and all the staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The poker room is on the 3rd floor away from the main casino and is quite roomy.

£40+£4 freezeout, around 35-40 players, 10,000 starting chips, 20 minute clock.
blind levels went 25/50, 50/100, 150/300, 200/400, 300/600, 400/800 and then I was knocked out  :(

It was self dealt and there were plenty of experienced players willing to deal.

For those interested in the cards - nosey went out very early when trips beat his  ac ah.

I lost most of my chips in level 5 when my  tc td was no good to a  :as: ks with a rivered  ah. I then nursed a short stack for a while until eventually my  :2d: :2c: was beaten by  ac td with a  :as: on the flop.

Hope to visit again soon as overall it was a good experience. there is a £150 2-day event on soon but unfortunatly it is on the same weekend as the european championships so I won"t be there but good luck to any APAT"ers that are.

Stuart
p.s. Ian, I won a big pot with  :as: jd on a  8d 9c 4s flop with a check-raise  :o

I echo what Stuart as said, good casino, good staff, and grate poker room

As for the play, well all the players on my table all new each other, the pots was always 4/5 way. With some very loose play

Two examples

I was dealt  kc kd early position; raised 5x big blind get 4 callers, A on the flop (hand dead)

This was the norm for this table, some one raise 3-4 people call

Level at 100/200 dealt  ah :as: in early position, this time I limp hoping to re-raise, get three callers plus the BB.  kd 7h :3c: rainbow flop, so I bet out 1000, he moves all-in. the other 3 fold, so I put him on AK. If he had two pair or set he would have just called or may be minimum raise (right or wrong?) so I called he turns over 77

Will defiantly be back

After reading this back to myself, if he had AK he would have raised pre flop?

With a middle pair you would just call hoping to hit your set

It was the all in that confused me

the friday night tourney is a goldmine if you can afford £50/75 and like playing aggressively, although not sure why i am telling you this....

probably going again this friday to see if i can do the hat-trick, will definitely be playing the £150 deepstack on the 1st Nov
Looking forward to making my first day 2
