Last year we had an amazing nail-biting finish with a lot of people in the running for the top three places. After previous winner Luca took an early lead and then lost it, it seemed that we were going to have a runaway winner, as Craig racked up serious points and maintained his lead for a long time until we got close to the end. His team was heavily dependent on John Hennigan and Paul Volpe and when they suddenly stopped scoring the team was caught and continued to slide catastrophically, all the way down to twelfth place by the end.
Barrie's win was mainly due to having the top two scoring players, Ben Yu and Shaun Deeb, in his team, supported by Anthony Zinno and Chris Ferguson. Carl was incredibly close, finishing just two points behind, with Deeb and Volpe scoring most of his points, backed up by Brian Hastings. In the last four years, Carl has been second twice and third once and this was the second time he has finished just two points behind the winner.
You think that's good? In the same time, Barrie has finished 4th, 4th, 1st and 1st!
